The bristles are too hard. I stopped using and threw it out. Felt like it was ripping my beard.

It literally smells so bad. I’ve had it for over a year and it still smells the exact same. Avoid.

I purchased this brush from the Cremo company website. Received it on Sept. 18, 2024. I have two of these brushes that I purchased in years gone by. First thing I noticed when I received the new one was the lack of quality when compared to the older ones I have. This new one did not look as thick nor did the bristles feel as firm as the two that I had previously purchased. There were fewer stands of bristles in each cluster, and fewer clusters on the brush handle. I attempted to add an image comparing the two brushes side by side, but their website doesn't seem to allow me to upload a photo, even though there is box that says "ADD IMAGES".

Brush does it's job. I really like it. The only problem is the smell. It's smells like onions and the smell will stay on your beard all day after using it. No matter how much you clean it, how you wash it, the onion smell won't go away.

The brush is nice, however after the 2nd use my guy noticed a strong horrible smell. We soaked the brush and it stunk like a dead possum. Gross….

This brush smells really bad

Have purchased this brands brush in the past and have loved it. I got two brushes in the last couple weeks and as some other reviews have said, both have been incredibly stinky and had a green “algae” in the brush.

This is the second time I've purchased this beard brush. I used the first one for over a year and figured it was a hygienic move to buy a new one. The brush is very dense and rough but as someone with a corse and shorter beard, this brush is perfect. It can be harsh on dry-unmoisterized skin so it keeps me ontop of my routine with oils and balms.

This brush is unpleasant to use. Like tiny unforgiving needles.

Feels great, smells awful. Additionally it sheds copious amounts of bristles.

Received this brush for a Christmas present. I've had other beard brushes and boar shaving brushes before but this thing smells terrible. It smells like a combination of a rotting deer carcass crossed with industrial lubricants. I tried cleaning it at least six times and the smell doesn't get any better. what a let down this brush is.

Replaced an older one with this one and it had a rancid, unpleasant odor.. bought another to try and it stinks too. Not ideal unless you want to stink all day. Tried washing but still the odor remains

Picked up two of these (the sisal fiber version) from the store-- opened one and noticed visible green gunk on some of the bristles. The bristles disintegrated when I tried to remove the gunk. I wet the brush and it immediately had a strong noticable rancid smell. I looked closely at the unopened brush and noticed green gunk on that one, too.

Never had a proper beard brush before getting this and I’m regretful for not doing it sooner. Beard feels and looks healthier , pairs well with the beard oil. Very good purchase.

I've been using this daily for a week now. What a great brush! The bristles are strong enough to work on my beard but not so strong they scratch. They feel like good quality bristles in a nice, solid wood handle. Recommended!

Really soft and works well to tame even the wildest hairs. This brush was a game changer in training the kinks out of my beard. Another great product from Cremo.

I like the softness, but the bristles fall out easily. Sometime bristles left in my beard

I absolutely love this brush. I was experiencing dryness issues prior to purchasing this product and haven't had an issue since. I actually went out to purchase a second one last week and was disappointed to see they had changed over to a different type of bristles. Are the boat bristle brushes discontinued?

Very useful for beard. Great for brushing product through beard after applying. Some complain of brittle loss, but I haven't had that problem, and I've been using it for months (disclaimer: my beard isn't very long, but it's quite coarse)
