Q: I am confused about being oven safe. One answer in thr q & a was yes and the other said no?
A: The so called BRAND expert says dishwasher safe but in specifications it says hand wash. Is it dishwasher safe? and what kind of steel Care & Cleaning: Hand Wash, Do Not Microwave, Broiler Safe,

submitted byHomeOffice - 4 years agoA: Internet research on Cuisinart pans indicates that the pan is oven safe up to 550 degrees; the lid is oven safe up to 370 degrees. A lid would *never* be used with the broiler (defeats the purpose of broiling).

Q: It says 12-inch but is that the widest part (top rim) of the pan or the base? I am looking for a pan for my 11.5 inch burner, so pan base would need to be that diameter.
A: Julie, the 12-inches refers to the rim (top rim) not the base that contacts the burner.

A: No this is not oven safe.

Q: can this be used on a charcoal grill?
A: you can use this on a grill... but, when I did used it on a grill, there were smoke stains that you have to washout.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. All of Cuisinart’s electronics and most of the cookware are manufactured in China. We have some non-electric tea kettles that are made in Thailand, and we have a Cookware set that is made in France, called our French Collection.

A: Great question! The encapsulated aluminum disk is in the bottom of the pan and does not contact food. Hope this helps!

Q: Anyone else finding the pan leaves grey like stains on food. Usually aluminum does that. Is this pan actually aluminum? I have had this pan for about 2 years now
