Q: Can you slice hot roast beef with this, or does it have to be cold?
A: Slice all raw meats frozen. Typically from 10- 27 Degrees. A clean consistent slice requires that raw meats be frozen. Raw, warm product will move when sliced making it impossible to maintain a consistent slice

Q: Can the Meat Slicer cut through bone?
A: Sweetmamajan-Thank you for your interest in the Cuisinart Kitchen Pro Food Slicer. This item is not intended to cut through bone, although it does a beautiful job of slicing boneless meats and cheeses,potatoes and other veggies. Hope this helps!

A: This should be used with fresh meat (refrigerated) not frozen.

Q: Can the important parts (e.g., the blades) go through the DishWasher ?
A: Thanks for your inquiry. The Cuisinart Kitchen Pro Food Slicer is not dishwasher safe, and all parts of this slicer should be washed by hand.
