Curology Acne Body Wash - 10 fl oz

I thought I had gotten a bad tube the first time I bought this but the second purchase yielded the same issue. The product is hard - it comes out like spackle, does not lather and just left chunks of the body wash stuck to my shower.

The consistency is difficult to use in the shower, and it really defeats the purpose. I love the brand, so I was really disappointed. It's a huge bottle for the price, which is a good value, but it will be a chore to try to use it up.

Thick and slimy and hard to squeeze from the tube. Not the consistency of any body wash I’ve ever used. Definitely no lather — it just sat on the washcloth, and didn’t break down enough to rub it on my skin. Maybe a bad batch?

The texture of this reminds me of slime. The first time I used it I was surprised that it was opaque and so thick…it reminded me of Nickelodeon Gak from the 90s. I had to really work it to get it to a something soapy. It doesn’t really lather well. I applied it to a scrub brush and was surprised that it just settled on to the top of the bristles,, like a solid. Because it’s slime texture. And I was annoyed after I tried to scrub my back with it and it just settled down into the bristles but stayed in place…because it’s like slime, not body wash. This has never happened with any wash I’ve put on a brush before. The next time I got in the shower I tried again exactly as before, and took these pictures for reviewing. I can’t say if this really is effective for acne. I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t seem to make it worse necessarily, and doesn’t have any real scent which I appreciate. But I got this for bacne and it’s kind of hard trying to use a wash that’s this texture on one’s own back, when you really have to work it and it’s too much of a solid for easily using on a scrubber. I have to try to kind of lather it in my hands (it’s doesn’t really lather just kind of thins it out), then apply that to a brush as well as I can, and just hope it does something. I don’t think I would buy this again, it doesn’t seem like a miracle product, and it’s too thick and weird textured for me to find it practical.

I get breakouts on my back now and then so I’ve been using this cleanser 1-2 times a week and let me tell you how it’s significantly reduced the back acne.
