We put this together today. Beautiful & solid desk. Really a nice piece of furniture. However, the top drawer fits a bit snug. Upon using the drawer for the first time, the front of the drawer broke off the back.

Good looking desk, heavy and sturdy, assembly took forever, but I was doing it alone and taking a lot of breaks. I didn't use all the screws for some reason, although I followed the directions to a tee. Cons: the Twist Lock fasteners seem flimsy. They are made of hard plastic and when you tighten them, they feel as if they'll break. They also fit very loosely until you tighten them, so I needed someone to hold up one of the shelves, or else it would have completely fallen down (step 11). Also the drawers don't fit completely; they are not flush with the drawer frame. I would still buy the desk again as it feels very sturdy and is so good-looking.

The drawer hardware was wrong. The rails for the drawers are wrong, there was 2 sets of the hardware pieces that go on the desk part to install the drawers but the pieces that go on the drawers are missing. I cannot install either the drawer or cabinet due to this. Also the instructions to assemble the small drawer are not included in the book. I put it together following the same instruction (and common sense) how the big drawer was put together. I like how this desk looks and it is the right size. Hopefully I can get the correct pieces to finish assembling this desk otherwise I just wasted half my day.

The quality of each piece was great. Everything fit exactly as it should have. All of the parts were clearly identified, and the instructions that came in the box was clear and easy to follow. The finished piece is as beautiful as it is functional. Sauder thought of even the smallest details like fully adjustable drawer glides. I've already recommended this desk to colleagues who are also working from home.

This is my work-at-home desk - the assembly instructions were good - desk came together good but still took my husband and me four to five hours to complete. I was disappointed, it appears the finish over the particle board is just a wood-look paper not a veneer. Too bad, probably would not buy another for that reason
