Q: what are " chili" darts and will this use the basic blue nerf darts?

submitted by Wonkey donkey love it - 2 years ago
  • A: Yes, the "chili" darts is a nickname for the type of dart sold exclusively at Target. They are fully compatible with all standard nerf blasters that come with basic blue nerf darts. To learn more information about the chili dart, you can visit https://dartzoneblasters.com/product-type/dart/ to answer most common questions.

  • A: No, it will not properly use NERF Elite darts. Nothing will. Not this blaster. Not NERF brand blasters. NERF Elite darts flutter and flop and fishtail and miss anything you aim at. Throw them away.

Q: does the blaster need batteries

submitted by maddox - 8 months ago
  • A: The Vulcanator from Dart Zone requires 6 AA Batteries. Batteries Not Included.

Runs out of batteries quickly, it takes a long time to load, but is fun when it works. This gun is not worth spending your own money. It is very light and easy to move with.

Its decent but takes a lot of battery. Got it on sale but I didnt notice it needed 6xAA batteries. Many toys now comes with built-in rechargeable batteries. I just wish this toy comes with it.

This gun is somewhat accurate. The only problem is that it can only hold 12 round magazines on each side or the magazines will fall off.

The Vulcanator is an excellent blaster. The dual mags seem like a bit of a novelty but give it a cool space blaster look. The rate of fire is not incredibly fast but it is consistent and reliable. I have had only one jam with hundreds of rounds shot through it. Dart velocity seems faster than standard Nerf but not as fast as the Dart Zone pro blasters. Two suggestions from my experience: The magazine wells are tenuously attached to the blaster and fall off quite easily. I ran a bead of hot glue along the top edge of both and have had no further issues. The 12 round magazines that came with it are great but run out of ammo quickly. I suggest getting at least a couple more. Standard Nerf mags work perfectly.

Decent for my 13 Year Old

I received this product in exchange for writing a review. My 13 year old son felt that this dart gun was "decent". He was a little disappointed that the gun does not shoot as hard as he wishes that it would which he felt was surprising because it is battery powered. He also noticed that because it doesn't shoot as hard, the bullets arch downward and aren't as accurate as accurate in reaching targets. My son liked that this dark gun has 2 chambers for loading bullets. He felt that overall it is a little bit loud and he also noted that the scope is loose and moves too easily. He did think that it looks cool and that it holds a fair amount of bullets. I thought it was interesting that he did note that the colors on the start gun are the same colors as Nerf traditionally uses, which he felt a little bit weird about and commented that it felt like they were copying Nerf. Overall he rated this dart gun a 7 out of 10.

This motorized dart gun is easy to use and lots of fun. It does require 6 batteries to use, which adds some weight to it. However, the motorized functioning makes for really smooth shooting and very low noise. The Vulcanator fires off darts in rapid succession, which is great, but also means that you run through the 24 dart capacity within a matter of seconds. Fortunately, the darts load very easily into the two ammo clips.

This product was given to me in exchange for a review. Good packaging and quality. Easy to assemble and start using right away. Was very sound and robust. Shooting distance was good. The negatives were with the electric shooting motor, you were out of arrows in a matter of seconds and the reloading process took longer than the ability to shoot. Relative to other dart blasters, the shooting distance is far less.

I was sent this product in exchange for a review. The fourteen year old I had testing it preferred it to the other Dart Zone blaster we got. He liked the motorized action and found it easier to use. I liked the full sized darts because they were easier to find in the house. It’s a more affordable price, too.

    Rather lightweight full-auto blaster!

Anonymous Penguin - 2 years ago
Overall, really enjoyed playing with this blaster! Compared to other full-auto blasters with a similar mechanism, this was quite lightweight, especially since it used AA batteries rather than the dreaded weights of C or D batteries. The power of the blaster is sacrificed a bit in exchange for the rapid firing of darts but I think this was a good choice. The other Dart Zone blaster I have tried easily had power to sacrifice. The magazines being inserted the way they are in the image (a V pattern) was a bit strange at first, but having the extra space below the blaster to steady was surprisingly nice. You can blow through the darts in the two magazines pretty quickly, but 24 is a great number to hold at a time for this form of blaster. *this product was given in exchange for a review*
