DaVinci Everly Recliner and Swivel Glider

I like the look of the chair and it is comfortable enough for sitting and rocking. But my GOODNESS it is LOUD, a few months of use and this thing creaks obnoxiously loud while rocking or while adjusting my position while seated which is so disruptive to a sleeping baby. Forget about reclining, the hand crank is also so loud and difficult to pull, and the seat doesn’t stay reclined unless you force it to lay flat, if you move at all the back springs up. The footrest is so hard to close requiring a strong kick with a loud bang. I never recline in this. As a basic rocker it’s ok. Truly am disappointed in the flaws though.

Very comfortable and I think it’s good quality, especially for the price point. The foot rest was hard to put in at first, I think because we’re using it on carpet and the bottom was too close to the ground and got caught. I was able to adjust the foot rest to sit slightly higher and it works great now. I’ve used it multiple times a day for the past 8 months and it’s still comfortable, no squeaking or creaking. The fabric has held up pretty well. Recently I noticed it had picked up some dirt but it cleaned easily using the little green machine.

Love it! Very easy to assemble, extremely comfortable and great quality. Beautiful color also.

I’m not a big fan of this. The one pro is that it is a good looking piece of furniture. It looks nice in our nursery. The con is huge and it’s that it is super uncomfortable. I can never get comfortable in this chair with my baby. It doesn’t recline and hold well. So it feels like it closes on you when you are in the reclining position. It’s hard to close the recliner foot and is very loud to close which is not good when your little one is sleeping. I wish I had purchased something else.

This glider is pretty and serves its purpose but its really not very comfortable and the recliner release pull is very inconveniently located making it difficult to use (especially while rocking baby)

Do not waste your money or time. It begins with the delivery - The glider arrives in a severely damaged box, but besides a few stains, the fabric looked fine. Well, then assembling the chair, I noticed that it wasn’t aligned properly. I was hoping I was wrong, but you can see how lopsided it is in the pictures. Target customer service was not helpful and after 2 hours in the live chat with two different representatives, I’m now waiting to see if the carrier company they work with will be able to remove the chair, but since it’s over 70 pounds, Target cannot confirm that they will be able to take it… awful experience overall being 8.5 months pregnant. I was so excited to get my nursery together and saving for this chair was not easy and now I’m not sure what’s going to happen because Target will not refund unless it’s returned, but they can’t guarantee it will be picked up…

We’ve had this chair for over 7 months now. Here are our likes and dislikes so far. Likes: Overall pretty comfortable. The armrests are not very wide but they have enough cushion to comfortably support. The back and seat are also comfortable. The fabric color is pretty. The depth of the seat cushion and height of the back are also good (we are 5’8” and 5’11” for reference). I like that it swivels and rocks. Dislikes: The biggest downside for me is both the loudness and position of the lever that’s in between the seat cushion and the side. You have to crank that sucker way up to get the footrest out and it sounds like an old rusty spring on the way up and down—not a good feature for a sleeping baby. The description claims the fabric we chose is performance, but I accidentally dropped one drip of egg yolk onto the corner of the arm and it immediately soaked through and was hard to get out. The material is also a little too rough and our hair always gets stuck in the back and gets pulled out. It is also almost impossible to get the hair out. I’ve tried vacuuming, lint rollers, etc but will have to unfortunately get a pair of tweezers and remove individually. The width may work for most but we found that our baby quickly outgrew the width and is starting to get uncomfortable (this started around 5 months). The support pillow is just about useless. It’s uncomfortable to have behind our backs but we found it more useful to put under our arms while feeding baby. The pillow is pretty flat though with very little filling so I end up having to prop my knee up for extra support most times.

The chair is beautiful! I love the color and the design. It rocks, reclines, and swivels smoothly! I can definitely tell it’s a great quality chair. It’s also very easy to put together! It was more firm than I wanted, I couldn’t see myself sitting for a while in it without becoming uncomfortable. The seat is also deep, I’m 5’4” and I had to re-adjust myself and slide back, this makes it difficult to sit and stand up with a sleeping baby in my arms. It does have a small pillow but I didn’t feel it was practical to adjust the pillow while holding a baby.

the glider is beautiful, but it is way more firm that I expected. I would not have purchased had I known that.

It’s okay. I guess I should of read that it doesn’t recline out, I wish it had more space and I’m pretty skinny but when I’m rocking my baby I wish he had room to move or extend his legs more. It’s comfortable but for the price I know I could of got something nicer. Also mine does squeak when rocking my baby

Love this chair! The color is perfect! It’s was very easy to put together. It reclines easily, and the foot rest is easy to put back into place. 10/10 recommend purchasing.

I LOVE this chair. My husband is tall (6’2”) so he doesn’t like the chair fully extended but that is great news for me!! The chair was easy to put together, wide enough to be comfortable and thin enough to spin and extend into a reclining position. I cannot say enough about it.

Perfect reclining glider for a nursery! Super happy with this chair. It was easy to assemble and matches the room perfectly. Bigger than other chairs we tried and works for both myself and my husband. I wish it would glide while having it reclined though.

Looks great and is comfortable and quiet! Fast delivery and was easy to assemble.

The chair is super comfortable and cute, however, it is SO loud while rocking. There are multiple squeaky noises coming from inside the head rest. It sounds like there is material or stuffing rubbing against wood inside, so there is no way to fix it. If it were coming from the bottom underneath, it could be oiled or adjusted, but unfortunately, there is no way to fix this loud squeak that keeps my newborn up while rocking him. I even try to lean forward in an uncomfortable position so it doesn’t wake him, but the squeaky noises are all over the back of the chair. Super disappointed because I really love the look of the chair.

Very comfortable and easy to assemble. Quiet rocking. The recliner goes nearly flat for those nights that you fall asleep in the nursery. It’s also got a tall and comfy back support - I’m 5’10 and no part of my head even comes above the rest while I’m sitting or laying in it. My feet do dangle off the feet rest but still comfortable. The recliner part is a little loud but not too bad if you release it slow. The only reason I give four stars is because closing the recliner position is tough, there’s a lot of resistance and sometimes I have to close it enough to stand and then donkey kick it into locked place once I’m up. And that part is louder than I’d like though most of the time doesn’t seem to affect the sleeping baby.

Easy to assemble, good quality for the price and very comfortable. Recliner mechanism is a little hard to put back into the non recline position but otherwise glider and rotation work well. taller back works great for 6 ft + tall people in our house. Would buy again.

We purchased the white version, we love the price and color. Works super well and very comfortable. When you have a newborn that's super fussy here and there, great way to hold the baby and relax on this chair. Also it's stain resistant which we haven't tried out. The only thing I don't like is that when locking back the foot rest, it makes kinda of semi loud clicking sound but it's all good. We love this chair and highly recommend it.
