A: When used as directed, your Dawn EZ-Squeeze style bottle will not leak. Keep the bottle standing on its head, and never flip it. Flipping increases the pressure inside the bottle, and pressure leads to leaks. Just pick the bottle up, squeeze it directly for cleaning, and put it back down on its head. If pressure does build up, flip the bottle, so the cap faces upwards, unscrew it, put the top back on, flip it nozzle down, and give the bottle a big 2 second squeeze. Keep it in this position, and pressure should not be an issue.

I am disappointed with the new "Clean Scent" that has replaced the original. I have been using Dawn for most of my life. I enjoyed that the former offering was very close to scent free. This new offering triggers a headache and the need to wash the smell off of my hands. The soap still works great, however I will be on the hunt for something different.

Awful new scent - change it back please! I don’t need my dishes and food tasting like weird fragrant soap. Also- headache triggering! Also- for all the replies from Dawn telling us to switch to fragrance free and clear- it’s almost twice as expensive for less soap!!! So you make an obnoxious smell and tell us to switch product to give you more money for less crap in our soap? No thank you- a switch in brands seems more adequate if that is your response.

I have used Dawn for most of my life. Love the product. I should say, loved. The new scent is so off-putting that I can no longer use it. I don't even know what it's supposed to smell like, but whatever it is, it's bad. And judging by the 100s of other reviews, I am not alone. I highly recommend you revert back to the 'classic, family loved scent'. Please, think of the ducks.

Dawn dish soap is an absolute essential in my household. It’s incredibly effective at cutting through grease and leaves dishes spotless with minimal effort. Even with baked-on messes, a small amount of Dawn goes a long way. I appreciate how it lathers well and rinses off cleanly without leaving any residue.

I love the squeeze bottle, hate the smell. Being very sensitive to the scents of most cleaners, which trigger headaches, Dawn was one of the few products that didn't bother me. And now it does! I've been using the free and clear kind now which is fine. But I don't understand why such an excellent product needed changing.

Why would you add so much scent now? You had a working formula and people buy this because of how it cleans and they don't want the smell... If people want the smell there are lots and lots of other products they can buy. The whole thing smells of some kind of marketing idea... I hope you realize that was a disaster. Bring back the original and test run it against the new clean scent.

I have used Dawn for years and loved the old scent but this new scent is awful! I couldn’t figure out where the putrid smell in my kitchen was coming from and then realized it was coming from the new bottle of Dawn. It stays on my hands, in the air and even the dishes now stink. Unfortunately I will be switching brands which is such a shame. Loved the old Dawn and I wish you hadn’t changed the scent.

Our products go through many quality tests to make sure they get your dishes clean effectively every time when used as directed, so we're sorry to hear that your Dawn Ultra didn't work as well as you were expecting, and we're glad you brought this to our attention. It may be helpful to know that using a scouring pad or washing a lot of extra greasy dishes can make the suds disappear more rapidly. In this case, use more dishwashing liquid. Additionally, you need to use more liquid if you have hard water, due to hard water containing a lot of dissolved minerals. To increase the amount of suds, we recommend adding the dishwashing liquid to the sink before adding water, and also be sure to use water that is 105°F to 115°F (40.56°C to 46.11°C). Your satisfaction is important to us, and we'd love to learn more about your experience, so that we can provide some tips on how to get the best results from your Dawn and assist you further. I have just now came acrossed this" new "scent. It smells like a bad overwhelming floral scent much like they use on toilets. The scent lingers in the skin and ever surface you put it on.

To remove the scent from your dishes, soak the items in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it, or if they're dishwasher safe, pour some vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher and directly into the dispenser, then run them through the machine. It may take a couple of cycles, but the smell will come out. Additionally, you can rewash your hands with mild hand soap to remove the scent.
