As a latina who has had her fair share of empanadas over several decades, these have to be the absolute worst of the worst. First of all, the box only comes with three and they are tiny so for the price they are completely over priced. Second of all the filling is not pleasant at all, is like wet dog food texture but worse! It has hard chunks of ground beef fat in it. It is just awful.

These were inedible. First of all, they were already a waste of money because they are tiny and you only get 3 of them. But in this case, it didn’t matter because they went in the trash. There is supposed to be ground beef in them, but the one I tried was full of large chunks of gristle. Additionally, the filling is literally brownish-gray mush. It looks nothing like the picture on the package. The flavor is also just generally not good at all, and I usually love all kinds of empanadas.

Bad texture... if you put beef stew in a blender, added some spice, and piped it into a crunchy shell you'd have this. Outside is delicious, inside is terrible - dark brown mashed potato looking filling. Bleh!

Surprisingly delicious! I made them in the air fryer per the directions with no added oil. They came out nice and crispy/flaky and the flavor overall was pretty good. The dough/shell tasted nice and wasn’t greasy at all. The filling had just a bit of heat but the kind really anyone can enjoy and then add their own sauce to for more spice. I think it was lacking just a bit in seasoning and some of the filling was a bit hard, maybe it was pepper bits not cooked well. Overall I’d try them again for how easy they were and generally lower in calories.
Just meh for me.
