The packaging is nothing special just a plain can, the pears aren’t fresh sometimes because they can darken a bit but they are canned so its not really the companies fault but the flavor tastes fresh and its pretty crunchy.

Every time I buy a tin of del monte pears they are rock hard and under ripe, despite what the company says, some are so hard you can't even cut them with the spoon. They are sterilized in the can at high temperature which should soften them but it doesn't work. I won't be buying any more until they get their act together, supermarket own brands are beautifully soft and a lot cheaper.

I love a pear half on a hot day. They are always sweet and refreshing. A pro tip is to pop the can in the fridge before you eat them. Del Monte always has the freshest ingredients in their stuff.

I was really disappointed to find the pears crunchy and one so hard I couldn’t cut it with my spoon. I had some about 12 months ago that were the same but didn’t complain but really fancied some again and disgoto find they are the still hard. You say they are hand picked and soft and juicy it’s just a shame that you don’t supply them like that. I have always had your fruit as it always used to be the best but you have slipped badly and spoilt your reputation. I’m certainly not going to buy more and would not recommend them to anyone. I have always recommended your brand before as being the best there is but no more.

The pear halves are very good. It costs only a little more than the grocery brand but it is worth it. Not too sweet. Juice is not thick. What else to say- it's good

I always try to have fruit in the house but when I can't get fresh, I rely on cans. This isn't quite the same as fresh but it has a good texture and it tastes good.
