Q: Can I use this with my retainer?

submitted by Reagan Huggins - 5 years ago
  • A: I use it for my retainer too. It's very easy to use, I just drop it in a small bowl of water, then rinse off the retainer before wearing again.

submitted bystraightteeth - 5 years ago
  • A: I use this with my retainer all the time, no damage or harm whatsoever to my retainer. I wear my retainer at night so I wake up, put my retainer in a cup and fill it up with warm sink water and plop the tablet in. It completely sterilized and cleaned my retainer and at night I just rinse the cup and I rinse my retainer and its 1000% okay.

Q: Is this safe for a partial denture which has metal clasp(s)? Thank you for your time!

submitted by Another consumer - 3 years ago
  • A: Hello - Please see the response from the item's vendor below: We recommend the consumer consult their dentist/orthodontist or the manufacturer of the dental appliance for guidance on the best cleaning product to use to clean the partial. Since appliances can be made of different types of materials, they are better suited to know if any of the materials used in the manufacturing of the appliance may have a negative reaction to any of the ingredients used in this product. Have a wonderful day! - Alex

Q: If I accidently drop my retainers on the floor, will these tablets kill off all germs and bacteria, or just odor causing germs? I want to make sure it is okay to put in my mouth again if I use these tablets.

submitted by Klam - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi Klam - It's great that you reached out to clarify on this! The tablets are mainly for odor causing bacteria and may not be best in fighting any other kind of bacteria. We'd suggest reaching out to your dentist or the manufacturer of the dentures for better instructions on cleaning them. I hope this helps! - Tony

Q: I wear a nightguard due to grinding my teeth... Is this safe to use?

submitted by LoisDM - 4 years ago
  • A: For nightguards made in a dentist's office, I can say from my experience that they are safe to use. I've used these to clean my nightguard every morning for several years. I leave it in for a few hours and then clean with a toothbrush one day a week to clean the appliance most thoroughly.
