About the Artist: Maritza is a digital illustrator and maker, mostly known for her stylized female portraits of color and floral illustrations. Her pastel palettes and subject matter are inspired by her Caribbean upbringing, being raised and influenced by beautiful, strong women. During the pandemic, she treated herself to an iPad and started drawing digitally as therapy and has not looked back since. She has taken this opportunity to share her perspective on what beauty and representation means through her illustrations.
