Design Essentials Almond Avocado Shampoo - 12 fl oz

I wanted this to be more detangling but it’s not bad. I will continue to use but likely not repurchase as I purchased due to it being marketed as a detangle shampoo.

Great product, but no pump

I’ve tried several “curl” shampoos recently and hadn’t found the perfect one until now. This shampoo has amazing slip, suds up nicely, and leaves my hair feeling clean and untangled. I have fine curly hair, and I am able to wash my hair with this shampoo and use the leave-in conditioner from this line without having to use a rinse out conditioner. No weigh down on my curls and my hair feels fresh and clean.

I did not know you could get so much slip from a shampoo until I tried this. I can and I have detangled my hair with this shampoo and it does cut down wash day and makes the rest easier. I use this when my hair itsn't as dirty so can be used regularly. It does provide a great clean but it does leave behind a slight film to help hold in moisture. Great for curly/coil hair.

Great hydration and once you wash for the first time you can tell the difference. Great to manage coily hair.

This brand is great for people of color, does wonders for our hair type!

Did not like, made my hair feel funny. Left a coating on it.

The shampoo is amazing. It smells great conditions and cleans the hair. Provides a lot of slip and has a convenient pump dispenser.

I didnt like this product because it left my hair oily in the scalp and it didn't feel like it was actually cleaning anything.

My wife loves it, she also loves the Almond butter conditioner made by Design Essentials but you don't carry it, she's hoping you will.

This shampoo will now be in my regular rotation. Quality product. Everything you want in a shampoo.

To start - I have coily, thick hair but very thin hair strands. This has been the ONLY shampoo I’ve ever used that doesn’t completely strip my hair or cause ridiculous tangles in the shower. I’ve been using this for about 3/4 years now and I have no complaints. I’m able to start my wash days off without stress because of this shampoo. It’s also gentle on my hair. I’ve also had success in the past with using it to get my hair “squeaky clean” just by doing a deep double wash versus one. I’ve yet to even encountered a conditioner that detangles my hair as well as this does! I hope this product never gets discontinued because I’m 100% loyal to this product!!

This is a great moisturizing shampoo! I love the fact I can also detangle my hair with it as well. One thing to keep in mind is this is not a clarifying shampoo, meaning if you need to remove a bunch of product this shampoo is not going to do it alone. You will need to use a clarifying shampoo then you may follow up with this moisturizing shampoo to get that moisture back in your hair and start the detangling process.

Love love love! Very moisturizing and I was about to comb through my hair while shampooing. I usually have to wait until I condition for the combing.

Best shampoo ever. I have 4c hair and this not only cleanse my scalp, I can detangle my hair with this shampoo. That’s how amazing the slip is. A little goes a long way. This is definitely my go to on my wash days.

It leaves SO MUCH residue and does not fully clean. I have thick, wavy hair and use gel product everyday. This DOES NOT clean it.

I don’t usually do reviews but I had to for this product. This hands down the BEST shampoo I’ve ever tried on my 4c natural hair. The slip and moisture is UNMATCHED and I use and alternate between a lot of products. I was so surprised that I could easily finger detangle or even detangle with a comb if I wanted to while washing my hair. It foams up incredibly and a little goes a longggg way. When I was done rinsing my hair was sooooo soft. Do yourself a favor and get this shampoo. It has earned a spot in my holy grail product collection.
