This is the whimsical moose I was looking for! Looks well made and fairly weighty. A little tricky to hang though. I would recommend

Just got this moose and love him! Looks life like. He's a little smaller than what I would have liked but he looks great in our bedroom! It was packaged well and fairly easy to hang. I would definitely recommend!

Ordered in 2018...arrived in 2019. A follow up reminder from time to time on it's progress would have been nice. I forgot I ordered it. Then there may be a "fake moose" hunting season I was not aware of. Worth the wait. Well packaged and a snap to assemble and hang

We received our moose in excellent packaging. It looks even better in person. It was not fragile and it went together well. It is a nice size for a home. We hung it up today in our cabin without difficulty and it looks amazing. I definitely recommend it.

The reviews on this product are across the board. I too experienced a negative start on this item, however, customer service sent me a replacement with a no charge return label with out me asking. Both were packed very well, but some of the thinner edges (for fur) easily chip even with cautious handling. It was awkward to handle, particularly when you have to twist the antlers on the head. My original head had the threads lined up incorrectly, so once tightened, the one antler was almost upside down, no matter how I tried to re screw it back on. The back that lies flush to the wall was so thin, that I popped a hole in it as I tried to catch my two screws in my wall, and I was VERY gentle. But over all, this item was exactly what I had been looking for, for several years. The cost was a small fraction of what I had shopped for and the detail was by far, greater as well. One review complained about the realism of the eye. They thought it could have been better. I too thought it at first when I opened the package but once it was high on the wall, I did not see it in the same light. The overall head is a bit small compared to the real thing, which works perfect for my "normal" house. If this was for a great lodge above an over sized fireplace, it may be a bit too small. Even though this was a bit consuming to take care of, customer service made it as good as an exchange can get and because it is so accurate on detail (including the fur texture), and the incredible price, I would do it all over again. If you even are considering this piece, get it.

I donated this item for the Annual Ohio CASA Conference and it was the biggest of hits! This was clearly the most talked about raffle prize basket at the event. The keynote conference speaker opened his speech with a comment about the "amazing Alaskan Moose" basket! The Alaskan Moose Trophy wall sculpture is so beautiful, it brings the majesty of the Alaskan frontier right into your own home. This wall sculpture is on my wish list for certain.

Very large and lifelike..It looks stunning in our "Cabin in the Woods" bedroom. It was exactly what we needed to make the room POP!! Thank you for selling this amazing creature....

The moose is beautiful and lifelike. It makes a realistic display. The antlers are far too fragile, however. Mine was broken, despite all possible caution, before I could hang it. In attempting to repair it, I found that the material the points were bonded to is only 1/16 of an inch thick and the slightest pressure made it crack more. The hanger hole bracket also came loose. It would have been a five if only it was more durable, as it is attractive.

This is a great sculpture but has two main flaws: 1) glass eyes would be so much more realistic looking than painted on ones and 2) for some reason the head is unnaturally narrow from the front, not wide enough between the eyes. The head looks real enough from the side view, but looking straight-on it looks too compressed to be a real animal. Be careful with the hook, I was fortunate enough to be standing by when the metal insert ripped right out, its too heavy to hold- but that could be fixed. I hope they make an updated version of this! Talented carving. A few simple changes and it could be a hit.

This is THE most precious item I have ever purchased from Design Toscano. I love everything I have from Design Toscano, but this is the "cat's pajamas". (That's really cool for you young people.) It is so well-made and realistic. It transformed the room once we placed it on the wall. Just Beautiful! Just Beautiful!
