Design Toscano Boden Gargoyle Sentinel Sculpture

Great! perfect for where we wanted to mount it!!!!

I've always loved gargoyles, and had been toying with getting one of these but hadn't got around to it. After seeing all the furor around Frank the Christmas Gargoyle (Google it- it's hilarious) I decided to get it. He's sitting by the front door and I LOVE him. He's got great detail and a wicked smile. Only thing missing is another one for the other side of the door.

Got my house protector the other day. The detail and creepiness is beyond expectations! Can’t put him outside... he’s inside watching the front door in the den. Detail is worth every penny & can’t wait for more watchers to be purchased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this guy sitting on top of my bricked-in mailbox and let me tell you, I have people stop every day to look at it. He is a beast and he protects us from evil spirits and I have fun with him snapping photos when the sky is changing (see attached pics). Also, please take good care of him if you plan to have him outside. Spray him from time to time with an Indoor/Outdoor clear acrylic spray to protect him from the harsh UV rays from the sun!

Boden is a beautiful piece of art. This large, handsome gargoyle is well made and very detailed. Unfortunately mine came damaged and its weight and size has made it difficult to return. So I am stuck with a damaged gargoyle.

I bought this guy for the corner peak of my balcony. Amazing detail!!! In fact, because of the extreme detail, my original placement of him has been changed. I couldn't hide the back of this guy agaist the railing like originally planned. I had to mount him higher up right on the railing so you could see his really awesome detail in his wings & tail. Only one thing i wasn't aware of... He's not very heavy. I think it might be hollow, so its taking a little more planning than expected to mount him. I do not want it to get broken.

The gargoyle is beautiful, but it arrived with a silver-dollar sized chip out of the back of the base. We touched it up with paint rather than put up with the hassle of sending it back. I was a bit disappointed in the material and weight of the base. If it were heavier, the statue would be more stable and these kind of chips wouldn't happen. Other than that, I am very satisfied. The detail is wonderful.

Boden Gargoyle is a fine piece. I bought two to stand in my yard and they're standing up to the hot rainy summer. The color and detail are perfect and they shipped very well. Weight and heft is about the minimum I'd trust for free standing outside, and I wouldn't mind if there was a slightly larger version available or a "matching" (i.e. color & style) stand for them.

My wife bought me Boden and Argos for Christmas and I just love them! We modified them just slightly by adding red rhinestones for eyes and then we mounted them in two different areas around the house. The only thing that would have made that easier would have been the inclusion of some kind of mounting bracket or perhaps a pedestal made for them that could be sold separately. We got creative and made a multilevel pedestal for Argos to stand on by the back door and a platform for Boden to sit on out on the front of the garage. He looks great out there standing guard over the household!

My husband has wanted a gargoyle for years and when we found this site I just couldn't resist getting him the two he liked the best. He loves them! They were packaged in heavy duty styrofoam and sturdy cardboard and were in perfect condition when they arrived. The detail on them is phenomenal and they are a great size too. The only thing that could have made them better would have been if they had offered some kind of mounting bracket so we could secure them to the outside of the house. Otherwise we are tickled pink with Boden and his buddy Argos.

Couldn't wait to receive Boden the gargoyle, & when Boden did arrive, I definitely was not disappointed. I'm in love with Boden, & I hope to be able to purchase Argos someday.

The gargoyle, Boden, has such great attention to detail front and back for such a beautifully gruesome character!! Thanks for the shivers when I look at him!
