Design Toscano Pondering Sylvester, the Cynical Gnome Troll Statue

Great little guy, makes my granddaughter laugh every time

Glad I purchased this troll for my fantasy garden. If the color holds up I may buy another one next year. Paid over 200.00 for the large unicorn and paint is yellowing and peeling. It sits under a tree all summer and is garage kept all winter so this shouldn't have happened. We'll see how well the troll does.

Sylvester is contemplating where to seize the fairies. I love him in my garden and cant decide where he is going to stay. He is the perfect size to gain attention. He is sturdy and just the right color to stand out.

I love this guy. I stood him next to a gazing ball in the garden so he’s looking into it pondering the future. He looks great and is a nice size. Slightly larger then the other gnomes in the garden making him a perfect troll gnome.

I bought this a month ago and was happy to see the quality of the item. Subtle colors and just the right size for this somewhat hard to find item, as we were looking for a certain pose. Just what we wanted. Was packaged surprisingly well, arrive undamaged.

I thought he was so cute in the catalog, so I bought him. I have him sitting on one of the stairs for my front porch. He fits in quite well with everything else I have.

sylvester appears to be up to no good, he's got that look of being a little bit mischieveous.you've got to love him though. i only wish he had some color to his appearance. but just the same he';s a cut little gnome.

I am in love with this little guy. He is the keeper of our driveway with is lantern. I have had so much fun with him. Our friends all laugh at Sylvester. Once the weather warms up Sylvester will be surrounded by a forest of flowers. Can't wait to see him get his groove on then. He is truly a great little statue.

Sylvester is a versatile figure--indoors or out. He invites all sorts of reactions, usually fascination and puzzlement. What a delightful companion and an ideal gift.

I purchased this troll to replaced a smaller one I had sitting on a fountain. This was bigger, but was so perfect in appearance that I modified the fountain to suit the bigger size.....it's wonderful !!!!

Love this guy ... he will reside in a special spot in the garden -- I also placed an orange gerbera daisy on his head -- The quality is very, very good -- his expression great and delivery was very timely. I also have Nature's Wanderer -- they make an excellent pair!

Sylvester is so cute. Lots better than the picture shows. I didn't get him until late fall so he has been spending time in my reading area of my house......but he will be so cute on my deck or porch as soon as the weather warms up.

This little guy sits on my research desk and appears to be pondering the mysteries of the Universe. He also wears my glasses on his head ( this takes some adjustments) when I am not using them. A good little buddy:)

I love him! you can tell by the details in his face that your worries are being taken over for you ;-} he's great and I would totally tell my friends about him.

My parents have a Gnome village in their backyard. This guy now protects the "river" portion of the village and fits in perfectly.

The picture in the catalog does not do Sylvester justice. He is way cuter than his pic. He is just the right size to fit under a big hosta lor a large Hellebore. The grey color stands out from the green yet is subtle enough that it doesn't scream "Garden Statue". The craftsmanship is quite excellent. He's heavy enough that he doesn't blow over in the wind. As with all Design Toscano products, I am very well pleased with this latest addition to the "Gargoyles of My Garden". He's not quite a striking as the life-sized wart hog (who I also dearly love), but he fits what I was looking for: a cutie-pie to add interest to a garden of hostas and hellebores.
