I use Dextrose as a high-glycemic post-gym carb mixed in with my protein shake. Rather than eating a high-glycemic fruit as my diet suggests, this eliminates the bad fructose while still getting the straight to the bloodstream benefits of glucose.

Honestly I can not complain. The price is great, the quality is pretty nice, and the actual performance is great as well. I mostly use this as a quick carb source before and after workouts and runs. This gives me a good energy source to perform and helps to shuttle nutrients after the workout. And under these situations it works GREAT!

I'm trying to get away from HFCS/fructose/artificial sweetners, but can't find organic non-GMO dextrose!?

I can't tolerate grain or anything made of it, this is from corn aka a grain and it doesn't cause me any upset. It is pure and the cost is just incredibly low, much better sugar then any table sugar out there at a low price without additive.

I've noticed that I'm able to focus much better whilst at work when using pure glucose + whole milk for my coffee instead of non-dairy creamer and normal table sugar. My energy and total performance have done better since I've applied this to my work situation, and if you're having trouble with energy at work, this switch might just help you as it did myself.. Decent quality product, just not as sweet as normal sugar, and since bacteria like it more it may not be as good for your teeth.

My wife and I use this rather than regular sugar to avoid fructose. Fructose must be metabolized by the liver; this is pure glucose. This is not quite as sweet as table sugar; it is a milder sweetness we have come to love. It tastes more naturally sweet than table sugar with no bitterness.

You know how they always say that white bread or a baked potato has a higher glycemic index than table sugar? It is true, but that misses the point. Since we are so efficient at turning starch in to glucose, using glucose as a sweetener is about the same as adding starch. If you have good blood sugar control, then extra glucose is easy to handle. The real problem in sugar is the fructose. People aren't built to handle more fructose than would be in a stomach full of fruit, and that would be with all that fiber, too. Fructose has a low glycemic index, but that is just focused on the short term. Excess fructose causes insulin resistance, which is the real problem. Agave syrup is a really bad idea since it is pure fructose. Of course, if you already have blood sugar issues, then all sugars, as well as starch, are a bad idea. If you use it in baking, it does brown faster, so you need to adjust the recipe.
