Q: Can we use DHC Astaxanthin collagen all-in-one gel during breastfeeding?
A: Because the body changes during pregnancy, skin sensitivities and ingredient tolerance is greatly affected. For the safety of you and the baby, your doctor may ask you to avoid certain ingredients. For this reason, we strongly recommend speaking with your physician about introducing any new skin care product(s) to your routine.

Q: Is this brand cruelty free?
A: We at DHC USA never tests products on animals or ask others to do so on our behalf, and neither does the founding company DHC Japan. However, the DHC affiliate operating in China is required to perform a certain amount of animal testing on some of the products offered in that country to comply with local laws. DHC Corporation and its affiliates strongly disagree with China's position on animal testing and support the international efforts to convince China that animal-free alternative testing methods are available to ensure safe products.

Q: This sounds interesting, but I don't see "Astaxanthin" listed as an ingredient on the box. Is it being called something else? Thanks.
A: We derive our source of astaxanthin from freshwater algae, haematococcus pluvialis, as it’s identified in the ingredient list.
