I would give this product 0 stars if I could. This pizza is labeled in big, bold letters as gluten free on the front of the box, but if you look closely at the list of ingredients, it CONTAINS WHEAT and is NOT safe for those with Celiac disease! I can’t believe Target would sell this product given this level of false advertising. So glad I checked the ingredients before consuming this product. Digiorno could seriously hurt someone with this and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Thanks for reaching out! We use wheat starch that goes through a rinsing process to remove gluten. The wheat starch still contains other wheat proteins, which allows us to get that bready texture while still being gluten free. -Sabrina

It's a little pricey, but it is so thick and yummy it lasts longer than the cheaper ones. I add some of my own toppings like artichoke hearts, olives and pineapple. YUM!!!

Delicious! The crust was spongy in the middle and crispy at the edges- a total win. I have celiac disease, and have had it for 20+ years. I ate this and was absolutely fine. I also have a thorough understanding of the difference between wheat starch which has been sanitized to remove gluten and gluten (a structural protein contained within grains such as wheat, rye, triticale) itself. I hope that the misinformation prevalent online doesn't keep us from having access to this awesome pizza! (Btw European companies such as Schar have been using "washed" wheat starch for years.)

NOT GLUTEN FREE!!!! How can they call this gluten free when it causes celiac and gluten intolerant people to get sick?! That’s the ONLY reason to call something gluten free.
1 reply from Digiorno Product Expert team - 2 years ago
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Tim. We extract the starch from the wheat and then rinse the starch to remove the gluten. This allows us to have a pizza that contains a wheat derived ingredient (to give us the bready texture) that meets FDA requirements for a gluten free food. As always, anyone with dietary restrictions should reach out to their physician to determine if a food safe for them to consume. - Teresa

This pizza is not as tasty as the gluten version, but as far as gluten-free pizzas go, it is very tasty. The sauce was perfect for me. The cheese was a bit uneven, so I left the cheese-deficient part of the pizza uneaten. The crust is thicker than gluten versions, but that didn't detract from the experience. It appears that the pizza is celiac friendly, but not wheat-free, so particular allergy needs should be considered carefully.

My gluten intolerant child has been complaining for several weeks that he hasn't been feeling well with symptoms in line with how he's reacted to low doses of gluten over a period of time. I've been making the digiorno pizzas for him on our family pizza night for the last month, and just realized that although it's labeled gluten free, it has wheat. Lesson learned that gluten free labeling doesn't mean wheat free.

We appreciate you adding us to your family pizza night over the past few weeks and are sorry to hear your son is not feeling well over time. We use wheat starch that goes through a rinsing process to remove gluten. The wheat starch still contains other wheat proteins, which allows us to get that bready texture while still being gluten free. We can assure that these products meet the FDA requirements for gluten free foods which can be tolerated by most people with celiac disease. It was delicious and I was only 😫 sick for a week.the gluten free pizza from domino's and unos had made me sick for almost 2 months. I have celiac's disease and can't eat a bread crumb without getting sick. This pizza was delicious, thick crust and real mechanically processed tomato. I ate this and it was fantastic. I threw up only twice. Stomach pains were only a 9 out of 10 and diarrhea went away after only 4 bottles of pepto. If you survive after eating this then it deserves 10 stars. If you don't then how the heck are you writing a review?

This pizza is NOT safe for celiacs or those with a wheat allergy. The box should not say gluten free in big letters on the front just to have a warning in tiny print with the ingredients. Absolutely do not recommend this pizza to anyone. Disgusting that a company would even do something like this.

I wish I could give this negative stars. Claims to be gluten free but I still had an awful reaction. Cross contamination doesn’t usually effect me so this pizza must have much more gluten than they’re claiming. STAY AWAY if you have any kind of allergy.

Super salty in my opinion. The crust was the best part- tasted like Pizza Hut crust, but it had way too much cheese and left me so thirsty. Wouldn’t try again.

I’m gluten intolerant but do NOT have Celiac. Took a chance on this product and didn’t react! Frame of reference for potential buyers - my intolerance presents as itchy mouth, heartburn, and severe GI upset followed by a few days of acne. The IHOP “gluten friendly” pancakes and other diner food cooked on a shared surface make me react, this pizza did not.
