Review Quotes
"This is an excellent book, and the quality of images makes it worthwhile for any level of user, but the beginner in macro will benefit most...the book makes a first-class introduction to shooting macro at moderate levels of magnification but once you wish to progress beyond that (and your technical problems increase) you might need to face up to some more homework."
"Originally published back in 2013, Digital Macro & Close-up Photography has been revised and updated to include everything you need to know about this fascinating sphere of nature photography. It covers basic techniques including fieldcraft, exposure, composition and post-processing, as well as more specialised topics such as LED lighting, handheld focus stacking and macro focusing rails. And, of course, the book is illustrated with Hoddinott's excellent photographs of insects, reptiles, plants and fungi to show the amazing results that can be achieved. Whether you're new to close-up and macro photography or an expert in the field, there are plenty of great ideas in this book to help you take your pictures to the next level." --Outdoor Photography
