A: This collection is ceramic and good quality and not light weight. Our products made with melamine (a plastic) are not heavy.

Just got them. Love how they look. washed by hand and put away, and the first person to pick one up to use it, the plate broke in his hand. Hope it was a fluke, possibly it had a hairline fracture. Expensive plates so I hope they don't break easily!
