Disney Descendants: The Rise of Red – The Sorcerer's Cookbook with Red Doll, Fizz, Slime & Doll Reveal Surprises

My daughter is 7 and absolutely loves all things Descendants. This little spell book for Red is so cool! Follow the spells to make a potion and you’ll end up getting a key to unlock the door where Red is. My daughter said she wants more spells to make potions lol

My daughter’s Christmas gift. She opened it and there’s no doll inside!

I bought a different doll for my granddaughter’s birthday and she loved it. I had to search this one out to give to her for Christmas and I know she’ll love it. So much more fun than just opening a box.

Not as cool as the magic mixes fairy doll as far as the process. My daughter loves the show and was very pleased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was such a fun toy! The packaging itself is awesome. One you open the box you find 2 number flaps and once you follow the instructions you get to finally retrieve the doll. It was very entertaining and the slim was not messy.

Such a cute gift for any descendants loving kid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter immediately wanted this doll when she saw it the first time, as an advertisement. The doll is very pretty, and the box is simply awesome! There are 3 experiments included with this doll - slime, dissolving bath bomb and a color changing skirt. The instructions are made up of pictures, no reading is necessary. The slime was really easy to make, and didn't need the allotted 6 mins of stirring that was recommended. I really appreciated the tray that was provided to make the slime and dissolve the bath bomb. She did everything on the table, but it kept all the spills contained and made clean up easier. The neither the cup nor the crown "bowl" have a water line which would've made things a little easier. It was hard to guess how much water to use with the bath bomb- she used a little too much, so there were some spills after the bomb was added. The stirring utensil that was supplied was long enough, so my daughter had to get a plastic spoon in order to reach the bottom of the cup without getting her fingers covered. The red water that was produced from the bath bomb stains a little. My daughter had to wash her hands a few times to get it off. The doll is very pretty, my daughter loves her hair and the surprise bath bomb trinket was the watch!!! A really fun added surprise! We kept the crown bowl, in order for her to change the skirt color, which requires the skirt being submerged in hot water. She also kept the box, which is made of plastic and cardboard, so its stronger than most doll boxes, and it looks really cool! She's been using the box in addition to the doll when she plays. Overall, she loves it and wants the Chloe doll next!! I heard nothing but giggles and laughter while she worked through the experiments.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is absolutely fantastic! The Sorcerer’s Cookbook is perfect for using your imagination and pretending you are a part of Auradon or Wonderland! From the storage book, to the recipes to get the doll, this is a great toy. Just be careful with recipe 2, we now have some red tinted fingers because of it. Overall, it's a super fun toy that makes magical playtime even more exciting!

She sit at the kitchen table to do the recipes and then once it was completed she went and played in her room with the doll and was content for a couple of hours. She loved getting to read the recipes and she closely followed the directions making sure I set a timer and such to make sure it turned out correctly.

It has so many things kids love- magic recipes, Slime, potions, a great doll, and a place to keep it all when play time is over. The instructions for the “recipes” are easy to follow and the cauldron is a great touch! The Red doll is very well made and fits nicely in the case. The case has great details as well.

We really enjoyed discovering the magic secrets together, in order to discover the doll. The doll itself is really great too, high quality, fun outfit, just fun all around to play with. It does seem like the spellbook is a little bit big... our home is small so space is at a premium. But other than that, my kiddo really loves it and wanted to rate it 10 stars!

She loved that it included slime and another fizzy substance. What kid doesn't like slime? The doll inside is well made and great to play with.

From the accessories to the slime to the doll, it kept them entertained. They also loved that they could re-lock the spellbook and pretend to use it over and over again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4-year old had lots of fun with the Descendants Rise of Red Sorcerer's Cookbook. His favorite color is red which immediately drew him to the toy. After opening the cookbook, there were fun spells that can be cast to make slime, fizzy potions, and unlock a surprise! The steps of the spells were easy to follow and packaging was included to help contain any mess. While the toy was entertaining, there wasn't much to do with the cookbook after the spells are cast. When initially opening the cookbook, the secret door was open which kind of ruined the surprise. Overall the toy is fun, engaging, and definitely kept my 4 year old entertained.

My daughter is not old enough to read yet, but was able to follow the picture directions for the recipes Recipe #1 mixing the slime powder with water using the included cup and bowl. The directions say it may take 6 minutes, however for us it only took 2 minutes. Recipe #2 mixing a fizzy ball with water to reveal the hidden surprise, a small key to unlock the doll compartment. The cookbook box has enough space to hold an extra doll.
