My son received this as a present for Christmas. The sound is working and I changed the batteries yesterday. The sound was working before putting it away last night. Other than that its my sons favorite toy and has been playing with it every day. Now he’s sad cause hes not Maui anymore (he’s 2)

My 4 year old son was so excited about this Hooke. He loved everything about it until he started pretending to be Maui and the tip of the hook snapped off. It’s more of a passive toy than an acting out toy. He hit it in the soft cushion of the couch and it broke within an hour of having it. We were able to get the tip back on after taking out two of the screws in the hook but now the bottom of the hook doesn’t light up and he has already broken it again.

My son and daughter enjoy playing with it in spurts, but it doesn’t hold their attention long. The quality is great. They’ve hit it against so many things, and nothing has happened to the hook. There are no small pieces that can break off, which is a plus. The lights are bright and colorful. It would be a great addition to a Maui costume!
