We get this for my 8 year old farm dog and he loves it. Our bird dog also begs for it even though we get him the proplan formula. So I give a bit of it as a treat! I think it's the beef flavor as neither of them liked the chicken flavored one.

This is the second bag of dog food - this brand and flavor - that smelled strange upon opening. Additionally, the same type of bug(s) have crawled out from the bag. The first time this happened, I asked - and received - a refund. However, this time I will just not purchase again. The dog food itself does not look like it should and has white substances in the food, almost like rope or cloth that’s mixed in there. Pictures were taken immediately at time the bag was opened.

We thought we would try the beef flavor dog food, but they didn’t like it at all. They would hardly eat the dog food and our pups aren’t picky eaters.

Has chicken when beef flavored

Says that it beef flavor but has chicken by product in it. I have a dog with allergies and I am pretty sure that he is allergic to chicken. Put beef and chicken flavor on the package to be more clear to consumers. I am not sure if I initially misread or if you changed formula to include chicken but my dog used to do better on this food then got worse. Also the last bag one of German shepherds that is not a picky eater doesn't seem to enjoy as much for the past couple bags.

I have been feeding Purina dog chow to my dogs for over 25 yrs. My Parents fed Ralton Purina years ago to their dogs. Purina dog chow is gd dog food for dogs it's wallet friendly most importantly it's nutritious for my puggles which by the way they have sensitive digestive systems. They do gd on Purina dog chow. I'm not sure why all the negative comments whenever you switch your dog to a new dog food you must transition them you can't just switch them you have to gradually transition them otherwise you will cause your dog to have stomach upset on the bag it tells you how to transition your dogs to the new food. Purina makes good puppy food and good dog foods.

This is like gold to find now, but I can always count on finding it in store or online at Target. I don’t even try to find it anywhere else now. It’s the only food that works well on all of my dogs tummies.

My German Shepherd loves this stuff, a lot of other foods disagree with him (rash & toilet problems) but we've never had any issues with this one. It's also the only food he'll dive right into, everything else he just picks at until he's hungry enough to finish it

I have served this beef and chicken complete adult to my dogs for years, they seem to like it and for the price the bags at Sam's can't be beat. It just went up 5 bucks a bag and for the first time in their lives my dogs aren't finishing their bowls. I noticed the bag (of beef flavor) appears to have hundreds of these spongy things that look like chicken nuggets. They have not been there for years. I can just barely rip them apart they are so tough and they seem to be bread. Are they suddenly using bread to fill the bags cheaper? And is it swelling in the dogs stomach so they eat less? I'm not crazy about this all of a sudden. And these aren't random clumps. I can't put a hand in without coming up with three or four. There are a LOT.

My dog has food sensitivities. the reactions he had to every brand and every type of food was exhausting. My dogs sensitivities led to vet bills and having to consider rehoming him if we couldn't find a solution. The really expensive high end dog foods that were really becoming a strain to purchase. this is the only food I have found that my dog is actually able to eat without having persistent and chronic diarrhea and bloody stool. I'm relieved at the affordability of this food comparatively to the other foods that I had thought were my animals only options. after spending so much on vet bills due to this sensitivity issue I couldn't be happier that my friend is now able to eat comfortably without being a burden to my family financially

I have a pitbull that is extremely allergic to chicken. I saw this product advertising on the bag that it is beef, and decided to buy it. After feeding him I noticed that he was still having flare ups and scratching very bad. I read the ingredients and saw that it says poultry by product and chicken flavor, that was misleading to me
