As soon as my dog was given days to live, my husband bought this book for our kids. The night our sweet Babygirl passed, we read the book to our kids. It helped them understand that she was in a better place now. Love how book explained heaven to our kids especially when I was hurting so much.

Given this book after losing my first dog 17 years ago and just purchased it for my friend who just lost their sweet boy. Thought it’d be a good way for her to help her little kids grieve the loss of their pup.

Cynthia Rylant's book Dog Heaven was written to explain what happens to dogs after they die. This book gives us hope that our beloved pets will go on to enjoy life in Heaven like we hope that they will. I recommend that anyone grieving the loss of a dog read this book.
