Q: Do you have to put the shelves inside? Also, what is the weight capacity the cart can hold? And what weight can the shelves hold?

A: The shelves are adjustable so you can use them or not however you'd prefer. The weight limit for the shelves is 30 lbs. We do not do weight testing on the island, only drop testing, so I do not have the information for the weight limit of the island itself.

Cheap Hinges on the Drop Leaf

The first time I used the drop leaf to feed my Son breakfast the hinges bent and now the drop leaf slopes down an inch or so. Otherwise it's pretty sturdy and wasn't too difficult to put together, just time consuming.

Nice unit, using it as a prep table for added storage and cooking as I do a lot of BBQing. Hated the locking mechanism as put in the instructions which I couldn't close all them.

This is a SOLID well built kitchen cart. I put this in my 3 season porch and it is a perfect 'bar' cart and serves our purposes 100% All of my guests have commented on how beautiful it is.

I bought this cart as I needed extra room. I assumed it would be just an average piece, but I was so surprised! The packaging was done with care so that nothing was scratched. The instructions were clear. Nothing was missing and the screw holes were perfectly aligned! I never write a review, but if you’re on the fence with this item-buy it- you won’t regret it!

I have owned this cart for over a year and it has held up nicely. I choose this style because the storage area behind the doors does not have a vertical divider - so it can fit longer stuff, if needed. I didn't expect the drawers to be big enough, but they are great for kitchen towels and can fit lots of small items. It is off white, but against a green wall, looks white enough. No regrets...

Takes 2-3 people for ease of assembly. The flip locks will not flip/lock for me. The stability of the unit is compromised because of this. Must figure out how to accomplish this. No answer at company. If I get this figured out, will revise review.

Skip this if you are sensitive to chemicals. It has a horrible chemical smell that almost made me pass out. My husband put it together when I wasn’t home otherwise I’d have returned it. I have to let it air out outdoors for a few days before I will bring it back into my home. It’s rather cheap looking and disappointing but since it’s built I feel stuck with it. Spend an extra hundred or two and invest in one that is real solid wood if you want the piece in your home for years.

Convenient for small kitchen spaces and the fact that it's on wheels makes it easy to move out of the way when you need the space and there's plenty of storage space as well.

Great little cart! It’s more of a cream color (which I love) and the top looks and feels like real wood! I can store so many things in here. I didn’t attach the side paper towel or spice racks because I thought they were ugly. Looks great without them! The drawers are a tad small, but still work perfectly for what I need them to hold! I researched carts forever and I’m happy with this one!

The instructions for putting it together were fairly straightforward. I recommend having someone help you-- it took 2 of us about an hour and 45 minutes to build, but would have been longer if I had had to do it myself. It seems very sturdy and is very spacious. The shelves have 3 different height options that each can move to (about an inch apart.) The drawers are very deep and not too difficult to build (though that is where having a second person really came in handy). The only thing I wish was different, is that I wish the knobs on the doors were at the top. I have to bend down to reach the knobs as they're by my knees.

Nicely build for a flat-pack cabinet. Lots of assembly, but the instructions were helpful. There are parts of the assembly process where it is nice to have a second person. Every piece of hardware had a spare, which was nice. I am a little worried the supports for the wing will eventually fail, but I've been using it for over 3 weeks and it's the perfect fit for my small kitchen. This package requires a 2-man lift. The day it was delivered, 2 days before it was promised, I didn't have help so it had to sit outside.

It's a very nice looking piece of furniture. Feels solid and sturdy. I am a 55 yo female and I put it together by myself in 3 hours. I am happy with my purchase. The box had quite a bit of damage to it when it arrived via fed ex, but thankfully the product was not damaged.
