I loved the idea of this shelf floating above the backsplash. However, when hung higher, you see underneath the shelf and the cleat used to hang it has holes, screws, and is barely painted; not attractive at all. Why would this part of the shelf be left out of the design?! I hired someone to hang this for me, only to come home to what appears as an unfinished afterthought of a shelf. Only use if you want to hang low and dangle your wine glasses close to the ground so the cleat isn't noticeble. :(
