I was excited to try these scent beads, especially because I love woodsy scents and this seemed like a fun way to celebrate winter. I'd say, after smelling, it's more of a fresh, cotton-type scent than a smoky, campfire woodsy. We're very sorry to hear that your clothes seem to have a film on them after using our Scent Beads! This can happen due to overloading the washing machine so that beads are unable to dissolve completely as well as adding beads to the dispenser drawer, as they are recommended to add the beads directly into the drum of your washer before adding laundry to allow them to dissolve faster. To resolve this issue, we suggest rewashing the garments as part of a smaller load without adding more beads and at highest temperature allowed by the care label. Just bought them to pair with my Persil advanced clean detergent. The scent fades away a little after drying on “low” heat and with non scent dryer sheets. I wish it would have more of a stronger scent, but for a limited time it’s a good one to buy for the Christmas season.
