Q: I only use filtered water for things concerning my baby. Can filtered water be used??

A: It's waaaay better than tap water, but 99% of filters don't remove 100% of the scaling and other residues in water. So if you want 100% scale free, you'd need distilled water unfortunately.

A: The bottles and components do need to be washed in hot soapy water or top rack of dishwasher prior to sterilizing in the Dr. Brown's Sterilizer & Dryer.

Q: How do you descale the bottom metal plate? Is it safe to use White vinegar and water? We have used this machine only 6 times and the metal plate is brown and smells burned.

A: The water source that you use, can cause mineral deposits on the warming plate. We recommend using mineral-free distilled water. Call our customer service department at 800-778-9001 (Mon-Fri) 8:00am-4:30pm CST for cleaning recommendations to remove the mineral deposits from the warming plate.

A: The brown residue is from mineral deposits in the water being added to the appliance. It is recommended to use mineral free distilled water.

Definitely buy this product if you don’t have a dishwasher. I had to buy it because I didn’t have a dishwasher. It helped a lot because it sanitizers and dries them. The only thing that I hated was cleaning it. You have to clean it after 3 uses or maybe even less. If you have to clean everything! I mean the gray thing, white little basket and the bottom where you put the water. Or else it gets so gross. The bottom where you put the water gets so gross from the formula. It smells like it’s burning.

I received this item as a gift from my baby shower back on 11/09/24. I literally just opened the box this morning to get all the bottles together since my little ones will be here on Monday and what I found is absolutely disappointing as I was really excited about this item since I didn’t have one with my first baby. The item obviously was previously used from the water stains. The bottom white part of the item, BROWN. There’s a brown stain on the top white rack where the bottle accessories sit. There’s dust and dirt over it. I was going to take back to target and exchange for another one but now I don’t think I even want to do that. Looks like I’ll be sterilizing everything by hand again. Highly upset with this one as I’ve never had issues with baby items purchased from target.

We have two different sterlizers and this one is great! I really like that I can see inside to see how many bottles are in the machine and that it keeps them sterilized and out of the way until I need to use them. It sterlizers and dries in pretty good time. Sometimes if I have other pumping parts inside, I will need to run an extra dry cycle. Our other machine has a timer, so I can choose to dry for an extra ten minutes which would be helpful if this machine had, so we don't have to run the whole cycle. It would be a bit more convenient if I could access the bottles with a handle on outside to hold to two top pieces together, so I wouldn’t spill the items in the top tray. Overall, I would totally get again!

I purchased this for my daughter and it was a lifesaver! I wish it had been around when my daughters were born. Never overfill and always make sure that the lids seal. If it is overstuffed, the lids won't seal and there will be no sterilization or drying. Just follow the directions and follow through on the process. Its not too loud either. It makes things easier which is what a new mom needs. Less time with bottles and more time with baby.

you can add the exact amount of water and it will error out. we used to 3 times and now it will only dry and not sanitize. we have cleaned as instructions specify and also used the correct water. I have contacted the manufacturer and they said to add a little bit more water and it still doesn't work. the product should be removed from Target.com and fully taken off the market. I wish I had read reviews before ordering it.

I got this as a gift. Within a few weeks it would not sterilize, they sent me a new one. It's very handy for drying items fast. One thing I HATE is when it's done drying it beeps SO loud like 4 or 5 times. There is no reason for that many beeps at at a loud volume. Clearly it's for people who have a baby and loud random noise are not helpful if baby is sleeping.

I’ve been using this for 2 months. I use it several times a week, sometimes once a day. I breastfeed but occasionally will use milk catchers and pumps. I’ve had to descale with no issues. My main concern is that for a couple weeks now, nothing is dry. I will run a full cycle and a SECOND drying cycle. It’s extremely inconvenient.

Was a little nervous about buying this due to negative reviews but I definitely love it. Works perfect. I run it 2 times a day, packed full and no problems at all. I’m about a month into using it, so as far as long term use, I don’t know how it’ll perform.

Fits 8 bottles if you set them up correctly. Keeps baby bottles sanitized, and feeling new without a oily-feeling residue. When the inside is dirty I clean with vinegar & voila its brand spanking new again! You can definitely hear it, but its not annoyingly loud.
