Q&A(27)

Q: can this be used strictly as a bed frame, with no other frame or headboard around it?

submitted by Flowergirl - 7 years ago
  • A: The universal bracket does NOT fit this bed. I bought it because I read this, and it is not designed for it; the beams are too thick. And now I can't return it because of COVID 19. So don't buy it for this frame.

  • A: unfortunately, there are no connectors of any kind to the front of this frame to attach a headboard. but i have it for over a year now and have had no other problems w it.

submitted bywren - 7 years ago
  • A: Karen, I personally apologize and you're correct, the Euro headboard bracket that is designed for this particular bed is currently not listed by Target. The headboard bracket I mention above is actually for our 14" and 18" metal platform frames without the lumbar support instead. Please call our support line at 866-926-2693 and we will get this issue resolved for you. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

  • A: If you want to add a headboard, the Empire Headboard Foot Board Bracket for 14 and 18 inch Platform Bed Frames is sold separately, and is a universal bracket that is designed to fit this bed.

  • A: Yes -- we have a queen and a king and use them both strictly as a platform frame. I'm not sure how one could attach anything else to it, as the previous user responded.

submitted by megan - 3 years ago
  • A: There is roughly 2-3" between slats

Q: Are these legs hollow? Are they steel? It appears they are square metal tubing, 1-1/2 "to 2"wide, with end caps on the feet. I need a frame that is no more than 11" high, so I would consider cutting the legs to make them shorter.
