Q: My Mom is 4feet 9inches. Would this model fit her?

submitted by Toni - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello Toni, we do not recommend purchasing a rollator based off of height, but rather handle height. This particular unit has a handle height of 33.5" - 38.25", (measure your mother's wrist to floor height to see if this works for her). If this is too tall for her, we also offer this unit at a hemi height as well.

Q: sizes tall? colors? what are options?

submitted by jude - 3 years ago
  • A: The Red Nitro fits handle heights from 33.5 Inches (min) - 38.25 Inches (max). Drive offers a Tall version in Black and Red. Please contact your local Target store to inquire how to request items not sold on the website.

Q: When the device is folded, does it lock in place? If so, how does it work? How is it unlocked?

submitted by Tanya - 1 year ago
  • A: To fold, pull seat upwards by the handle on the seat place as showing in figure 11. The Nitro Rollator can now be folded completely and secured by pushing the hand grips together until an audible ‘click’ is heard. This is when the under seat locking mechanism is engaged.

Excellent Rollator

5 out of 5 stars
Thumbs up graphic, would recommend
Sylvia Linn - 2 years ago
This is the Cadillac of rollators. All of the wiring is underneath so no need to worry about it getting caught. Seat is excellent - no sticking like it would with vinyl. When ready to fold, just pull up the tab on the seat and press the handles together - that's it. Large wheels on front will help with uneven surfaces. And as a bonus - no assembly required - just open the box and it's all ready to go.

Sporty new walker for Mom

5 out of 5 stars
Thumbs up graphic, would recommend
Happy daughter - 5 years ago, Verified purchaser
Mom needed a new walker as her old one was well used and in need of replacement. She had noticed the Euro Style and was interested in them. Once it arrived she never looked back. She loves her new walker. It rolls really smoothly and with the larger wheels it crossed thresholds easier. It folds up smaller and fits in my Subaru Forester better than her old walker.

after recuperating from two surgeries, I didn't have the strength to walk down the hall and back, so I purchased this rollator and it has given me the ability to get things done again! It's lightweight, well-made, attractive, and very easy to maneuver around even tight corners. I have also been using it to carry things like a box of heavy books, etc and it works great for that purpose too! I just purchased another Drive rollator so I can leave this one in the car for shopping and museums, etc, and the new one will stay in the house. I'm so happy that I discovered Drive rollators!

Tesla of walkers

After reading about many walkers we decided that the Drive Nitro walker would be best. My sister has major knee problems and regular rollator walkers were very hard on her shoulders. Now that she has a Nitro walker she can walk without a limp and she feels like she is walking without a walker beacause it moves so easily. This makes walking so much easier. It is also so much easier to fold up and put in the car.

Big white logo not suited for elegant ladies

Working with older people in the community I get to hear a lot about their many frustrations. Today: " Young people get to choose whether they want to wear a shirt with a big logo or not. We have to turn up at the elegant restaurant with a a bit fat logo on our walker that doesn't go with the rest of our carefully chosen outfit. Where can we get a walker without the logo?"

My mother bought this walker in white, because of the superior features: comfortable soft seat back strap, attractive design, interior brake cables and adjustable handle height, it rolls easily over anything, yet has lockable hand brakes for safety. I also like that it is easy to fold up with one hand by pulling up on the seat handle to load in my car. Mom has had it for 4 years now (she is 92) and has changed the name from "My Cadillac" to "My Rolls Royce". She loves it even more now that she is in assisted living and take it to the dining room and for group walks every day.

I love my white Nitro Walker. I’m tall, and it’s a perfect height for me. It is easy to manoeuvre, and comfortable to sit on. The big wheels are great. It is light enough for me to fold and put into the trunk of my car. It is stylish. I like looking at it, and it now feels like a part of me.

Buyer Beware

Purchased the taller version. I’m 6’7”, to assist with my mobility. End of the first day the right front wheel falls off and I go down hard and suffer a fat lip, sprained wrist, cuts/scrapes and sore joints from fall. Replaced wheel and hardware... bolt securely tightened. End of second day, sitting on unit when front right wheel falls off again. This time, end up with broken glass coffee table, broken dishes/glasses, hit my head on brick wall and knock a woman down eight steps. She twisted her ankle, suffered cuts/scrapes and ruined her dress. Major reliability and safety issues.

The brakes do not stop it completely !! The seat needs to be larger !! I weight 280 lbs . And can just barely fit in the seat because it is too tight ! It says it fits up to 300 lbs but does not !!! It does walk good over carpet and bare floors but I have not tried it out of doors yet!

I have wanted this walker for awhile. The first time I saw a lady using this Nitro, I liked the look of it. It folds side to side instead of front to back. I am learning on how to lift it in and out of the car. I feel sporty walking around with this walker.

I have had my rollator for about 3 years. I have used it mostly when traveling. I have back pain so I can't stand for long periods. I love being able to sit when I need to, instead of looking for a bench! We call it The Roller. It's brown with fancy designs on the side. I have gotten several compliments on both the look and the function. I love that is doesn't look as medical as other walkers. I rolls very easy and is light weight so I can lift it up a few steps if necessary. It fold quickly, too. The zipper pouch is very hand for my raincoat or purchases.

Walker handle broke

I have two of the Nitro walkers (one for the car and one for home use) and can’t complain and have benefited from its light, ease of getting in and out of the car. However, my home-based walker handle broke after having received as a gift three months ago. It may have a defect since the other walker has no damage or issues.

Excellent Rollator. Large wheels makes it possible to walk over all types of terrian. My rollator spent 13 days on cobblestone streets in Europe without any problems!! Love the way it folds up. Can semi-fold and still use through tight quarters. Seat and back support very comfortable. Don't have to remove the "basket" to fold up. Husband says I should earn a dollar every time that I have given a demonstration....we would have enough money for another trip!! :) Can't go without it. My best sidekick, that she even got named Rosie, my Rollator!!
