I wish there where the option minus 5 stars... One star is too much for your product. So many people are telling you that your product doesn't stick anymore... like it use to. It looked like you are doing nothing about it. We buy some for the job and also for are house bus that's it, we are done. It is so bad that I'm not even going to waste more time writing this review.

What has happened to my Duct Tape from the old days? It should be against the law to sell this crap! Thieves! I leave after taping a box and come back to everything untaped, so flipping mad! It takes everything my old hands have to even tape a box. Now, I'm trying to upload a picture for proof and it won't upload, I wonder why.!?

Quality of the duck tape has gone down. The tape is almost transparent and does not stick or rip like it used to. So disappointed that this is the case.

It does not stick to anything, it's the worst. I unrolled it, and my first thought was, "Wow, did that come off easy and fast!" And then I proceeded to stick some things to some other things, you know, as you do with duct tape, and lo, bout half an hour later, the edges were peeling up. So I pressed down firmly, again, and rubbed. A bit later, I noticed it was peeling /again/, as well as another bit I had taped. I does not even stick to ITSELF. I used to be a bit of a duct tape connoisseur when I was a kid, so I’ve bought this brand as well as many other throughout the years so I was kind of disappointed. Idk if I got a dud roll, or if there was a whole bad batch of stickum, or if all yall’s quality has drastically gone downhill. Like I said. THIS is the tape you want your kidnapper taping you with because you'll surely be able to get free if you just wait for the tape to fall off.

Bought this tape to use to tape up boxes for a move. Doesn't stick to cardboard boxes at all. Will unstick itself after a few minutes. would only stick to itself. waste of $$

Hi Liz - We are sorry to hear that you've had this experience using our Duck Tape. Unfortunately, duct tape is no longer recommend for use with cardboard boxes because of the materials they are made from. We would recommend using a packing tape to seal cardboard boxes.

Can someone tell me what causes the strong chemical fumes from this tape? Was not expecting this. How toxic are these fumes? I dont recommend using this in the home. First time ive bought Duck but no other duct tapes have smelled, you can smell it all the way in the next room over

I bought original duct tape to help me move. I thought it would secure the boxes so it wouldn't open, but I was wrong they all started lifting within a day and it wasn't even humid. I ended retaping all the boxes in Scott's packing tape and no lifting has occurred.

There’s good and some bad news. The bad news: boxes are made now with recycled materials that our duct tape won't stick to. The good news: our packaging tapes are designed to stick to this material. And we have a full line of the stuff. You can check them all out here: http://duckbrand.com/products/moving-storage/packaging-tapes

We have purchased this brand of tape in the past with no complaints, however the quality was much better than the tape sent in this order. In years past, we've used the DUCT TAPE brand to help secure tarps on our trailers during the winter storage. The tape would easily hold up the entire reason. This last roll we purchased lasted only a few months before it started to peel off. I also noticed that the tape was much thinner and did not adhere well. As of this post, this will be our last purchase of the "DUCT TAPE" brand. It was a waste of money during a time when there's little money to waste. ~ Good luck and Happy 4th of July!

Covid Quality

I have purchased Duck Brand Duct Tape for almost 20 years and relied on it for many things from moving homes to labeling containers. In the past 6 months, I have purchased roll after roll thinking the quality issues I was having was due to the color of tape or maybe just a bad batch. The tape is hard to tear, wrinkles when it does tear, is very thin and doesn’t even stick to cardboard. After at least 7 different purchases of bad tape, I have decided it’s not a bad batch… it’s a bad brand. I’m not sure if it’s a Covid related issue, an attempt to cut production costs or Duck’s attempt to up sell their Max line. Either way, I am no longer a dedicated consumer to the brand and suspect more will feel the same once they realize the Duck Tape formula has changed.
