I was really excited to try this putty luminous bronzer because the Vacay Taupe shade is a beautiful cool tone. (which is hard to find in general) But, once I got my makeup brush and swirled it into the product and applied it to my face, there was hardly any color payoff. I swatched it by swirling my finger about two-three times to warm up the product and then placed it on the back of my hand (see photo) and I can see the color a lil bit more than when I put a brush onto the putty and then directly to my face. I’d say that maybe if you’re going for a super minimal natural makeup look you may like the color payoff being so subtle, but i was hoping for more pigment, especially at a $7 price point, as there are other products out there that cost about the same with more pigment than this. Also, I noticed it smells bad, kinda how crayons or old makeup smell if that makes sense. I noticed I had to apply quite a bit to get any sort of color to show up on my face. I will be returning this and I wouldn’t purchase this again.
