A Decent Easter Book

4 out of 5 stars
TargetMom - 1 month ago
First of all, I love that Target carries a book that tries to communicate the true meaning of Easter. I see no issues with the first half of the book. In the second half, the crucifixion is glossed over a bit. It simply says "Jesus was sent to die. His disciples were very sad." Some will like that this book is not "gruesome," but I think it is important to communicate that he was sent to die AND did actually die on the cross. The book communicates that one must believe in Jesus to be saved, but the last sentence is "And because He died for us, we will live too." So parents would want to be careful to explain how salvation through Jesus works. It is a great size, length, and sturdiness.
