The white color is *slightly room-darkening* at best, but definitely not blackout, as the listing and packaging states.) The black version of this curtain IS blackout.

I bought these curtains in white and they are not blackout curtains. There is no backing to them, I had to purchase a separate item from another store to make these curtains blackout curtains.

I have bought these before for other windows. The black out feature is perfect!!

Blackout curtains are great only problem is you can see a little light on the sides due to the window design in my room. My windows are exactly 38 inches so make sure you select the correct size panel. One panel per package - it is not a set. You have to purchase two to cover a window completely. I have 5 panels to cover two full windows and 1 panel for a single windowpane. I feel my purchase is completely worth the price for what I am getting out of the blackout curtains. I used a ring light to show you all how dark the curtains really are in my dark blackout room. Enjoy!

Despite the nice price, the white were not even close to being black out. More like like filtering. Very stiff curtain as well

Definitely value for the money, really surprised because the quality was excellent for the money I paid for each.

This is after multiple steam and iron attempts. Impossible to get the creases out - laundered, hung to dry, steamed, ironed - still creases. So dumb for them to line these with a heat sensitive material, when the main fabric would need super high heat to get the creases out.

I think they should be catagorized as room darkening and not blackout. The other blackout curtains I have from target are much thicker and actually blackout. Otherwise happy with them.

NOT blackout, cute but really the entire point of buying it was to BLACKOUT the sun in my living room

If you need to sleep while the sun is still out or if your room is next to exterior lighting….do NOT buy this. I should have looked at the other reviews. My photo was taken at 3 am with exterior lighting outside.

This is not advertised well as one curtain. Why have two curtains on the picture if it only comes with one? Very misleading. The product is nice, just wish I logically came with two or had better advertising so I can know it doesn’t. Smh.

I can see the sun ! Black out curtains if I’m correct and I know I am because I have velvet navy ones before I brightened up my colors. These I bought because it said BLACKOUT and it’s so bright in a room I need dark to sleep in the day to work at night! They also kind of felt like I could use as a shower curtain. There should be another layer over that plastic feel no?? Omg but I’m keeping them because I’m just going to dose myself with sleeping meds. Ugh I don’t have time to rehang curtains.

I got the white blackout curtains and they do not block light at all!! I gave 2 stars because I am keeping them as I don't absolutely need blackout curtains but I was expecting them as that is how they are advertised.
