Q: Is the 42" the length or the width?
A: Look under details and the specifications. It states: Dimensions (Overall): 63 Inches (L), 42 Inches (W) (L=length W=width) Normally the width number is first but in this case, it's backwards or maybe its now the new normal(?) Anyway, hope this clears it up.

Q: I was wondering are these curtains are lined, I am not seeing where it says they are?
A: I bought the white ones and ended up returning them because they did not block the light well enough.
submitted byAM - 8 years agoA: Yes they are lined with white fabric. They work very well. Not completely black out though.
submitted byButterflycl - 8 years agoA: Yes, the curtains are lined with white fabric. They are light blocking.

Q: Are these 42" in length???? I need shorter curtains for over a built in in my Bungalow. Thanks!
A: Yes the Curtains are 42". And work excellent to block light
submitted byLainab - 8 years agoA: I’m pretty sure they’re all 42” wide and then you can use different lengths.

Q: I was wondering in these curtains are lined, I am not seeing where it says they are?
A: They don't seem to be lined. That said I have the grey color and they are reasonably good at blocking out 95% of the light. Good enough to make the room dark enough to sleep even if they get direct sunlight. The lighter colors may let a bit more light in but I suspect you'll be ok.
submitted byAsp - 8 years agoA: They have a coating of somega kind that blocks light

submitted byJackie - 8 years agoA: A dark metal color. It's almost the same color as the curtain rod I purchased

Q: First time home buyer and trying to understand how to buy curtains. If my window measures 34" i know to add 4" on both sides for rods. But my bigger question is should i buy 2 curtain panels of 22"?
A: Congrats on the new home, Sarah! One thing I've seen recommended by decorators for years is that you want your curtain panels to be double the width of your window (combined) so they have proper fullness. In your case, if you're shopping for a window that's 34" wide, you'd want to buy curtain panels that were each about 34" (plus or minus a few inches, depending on what sizes you can find), so that together the two curtain panels on the one window would be about 68" wide or so. Also, make sure to hang your rod much wider than your windows and at least 6 inches above the top of the window, which will make your windows appear taller and wider! This also ensures that the curtain panels do not block any light from your window when they are fully opened, since the rods are hung wider, the curtains will be covering the wall next to your window. Enjoy!
submitted byBrittany - 8 years agoA: I would -- it will give you just a tad extra for the soft rolls. The option would be to have them fall straight down.
