Designed to grow with little ones, this bookshelf helps parents and educators provide exposure to literature while staying organized. Instilling consistent reading routines in children helps develop their interests and cultivate a passion for learning. The five forward-facing shelves are deep to provide ample storage to display and store all your child’s books, magazines, and other literature. The tiered display keeps stories forward-facing with covers visible allowing children to select their favorite book confidently and clean up when story time is over. The streamlined design can be used against a wall or as a play space partition utilizing the four shallow shelves on the back for small toys. Constructed from sustainably harvested birch plywood with a durable finish sealing the wood surface and resisting scratching. A UV inhibitor helps furniture resist ultraviolet light and yellowing. Natural birch plywood is extremely durable and will hold up to everyday use in early childhood environments. Pair with ECR4Kids Birch Furniture to complete the set, sold separately.

Q: If you anchor this to the wall, how do you get to the back where this item advertises more storage?

A: Hello JJ, All of our bookshelf (including this one) units are designed to prevent being tipped accidentally, when used properly. It has passed multiple tip tests and can be used without anchoring to a wall. There are customers who are required or prefer to mount these units to a wall for extra security. If this unit is anchored to a wall there will be no access to the storage on the back. If you need to wall mount these type of items we recommend purchasing a unit without back storage. Please know that our units do not come with anchoring hardware, they will need to be purchased separately.

A: Hello, Thank you for your interest in the 5-Shelf Book Display Stand! The number of books the stand can hold will depend on the size of each of the books. Each of the shelves are 28.75" wide, 9.75" in height (top row 8" in height) and 1.75" in depth. I do hope this information helps! A: You can anchor it to the wall using devices such as brackets, braces or wall straps. Hardware for mounting is not included. We recommend anchoring any product that is used against a wall without casters and exceeds 30" in height.

The is a very poorly designed, cheap piece of junk. The assembly requires you to screw multiple large lag screws into the edging of 1/2” plywood which obviously split the wood making the whole thing useless.

We have had this bookcase for our toddler for about a year now. We love the durability! Our toddler has crawled/climbed on it without fear of it tipping. The assembly was a bit more difficult than an Ikea style piece of furniture, but it is SO much sturdier! We used a drill and it was fine. This bookshelf is an amazing price point as compared to other montessori style furniture!

This was a total pain to put together - I even got a splinter during assembly. Upon completion, the screw and bolt heads are all showing so it’s not that attractive - not a huge deal for the actual shelves but the ends don’t look great. Lastly, this does not fit board books - they aren’t tall enough. So that’s not a big deal if your kids are older but not great for babies/toddlers. (I should’ve measured before purchase.) Save your money and buy a different version of this book shelf style.

This is a fabulous bookshelf for children. You can limit titles and peak interest on a handful of books. They can see the covers. It looks pretty as a display. Children can help themselves to the books. Highly recommend.

Very happy with this bookcase. I decided to keep this one in our living room as it keeps the book clutter contained and am ordering a second one for my original plan of putting it in my toddler’s bedroom. Easy to put together and seems sturdy. Extra shelf storage in the back.

Comes with an allen wrench for assembling most of the pieces, but you will need your own phillips head screwdriver to assemble some of it. I think it's great that it comes with extra hardware just in case they miss packing some or you lose any. Some pieces are particle board and will split if you don't line up screws and holes correctly before screwing together. Having said that, I was able to assemble the whole thing alone with no issues in about 30 minutes. It's very sturdy, and the extra storage in the back is a plus. Docked one star for the low quality of some of the wood pieces considering the price.

This bookshelf is great but we have almost 100 books and this will fit about 50-75 thin books.
Assembly was a bit painful but the main issue I had was that after assembling the entire shelf, the last piece didn't fit. The top wooden slat wasn't cut properly so the screw doesn't fit inside. Books slide down the back of the shelf because the slat isn't secured to the shelf.

Extremely good quality and easy to assemble (as long as you follow the directions). Displays the books at the perfect level for children and because of the design it doesn't tip over.
