Great quality, sturdy and the instructions to put it together were easy to understand and follow. The product is exactly what it was described to be and we love it as an important piece of my home office.

I added this 2-drawer file cabinet after using the executive desk for over a year. All of the Sauder products are very good quality. You definitely need some patience to assemble correctly!

I use this as a filing cabinet. I bought the same thing years ago but the drawer broke. I was surprised to see that I could still order the same one after all this time. My husband put the new one together and then he repaired the first one. So now I have 2. It is a very pretty and useful piece of furniture.

We had a piece which was damaged in shipping and the company replaced the part very quickly. The company even sent a written apology for the delay it caused me. This is my first purchase fro teis company, but the product does have a 5 year warranty. . We will vacate our several year old metal commercial filing cabinet used at home, thin and re0rganize teh files inour new cabinet. Most households collect waay to much in the file cabinet and needs to be purged periodically,
It's beautiful, but. . .

I absolutely love how it looks! It was a major pain to put together. It took my husband over 2 hours to put it together. On the plus side, the instructions were very good and the parts were all separated and all there.

It does take some patience to assemble this unit, but in the end it came out beautiful Expect to spend more than 2 hours for assembly. Many parts. Had to reverse course a couple of times because a piece was installed upside down. I specifically like the file cabinet because of the color and overall dimensions. Majority of the parts are made in the USA.
Very nice file cabinet

It's true that this file cabinet took a little bit of time to build, but I think that speaks to the sturdiness and overall functionality of the unit. I wasn't sure if I would, but love the vintage black color, too. It looks very nice in our office. Looking to buy the Edge Water desk to complete the set when it comes back in stock!

It took be a very long time to assemble but this is not my strong suit. I got thru it step by step and all parts were there and well identified. Only issue we have is the fronts are not flush with the sides when drawers are closed. Please coach me when you can .

This piece of furniture is a file cabinet but can also be used for a small short dresser or large nightstand. It is beautiful in color, solid and well put together. We also purchased the dresser and the headboard. All look great! Thanks again Sauder

The lateral file cabinet is sturdy and attractive. The assembly time listed for this product does not reflect the actual time needed for individuals who have never assembled the cabinet prior. It took my husband nearly three hours and he is quite handy. I believe Saunders quoted a 35 minute assembly time. We purchased the matching computer desks (2) which we are happy with, but again extended assembly time necessary.
I love this file.

I needed a cabinet for my music that would look nice with my grand piano in the frontroom. This is just right, and very nice and sturdy. I am a 72 year old grandmother and was able to put it together completely by myself. I built it at the spot where I needed it, otherwise it would have been too heavy for me to move.

Purchased 2 for home office, wife like looks/finish so much purchased a 3rd before assembling the 2nd unit. Not a fan of composite type wood furniture but this seems good as long as don't over tighten screws. Unit is heavy and looks good -- would recommend to others.

I have 3 of these now. I use them as file cabinets and printer stands. They support the weight without issue. The black color means I don't have to try to match the woodgrain of my other furniture. Assembly takes several hours for 1 person, 2 people would be preferred and cut the time.
Product ok but has some issues

Haven't gotten to assembling the drawers yet, let's hope it is easier than the file cabinet. The order of some assembling needs adjusting and the cam dowels do not fit and some broke and I have to get them replaced. The plastic on them is painful to handle and does not fit in the holes. Cam should be put in the holes first and then into the hidden cam otherwise the plastic expands like a molly/anchor bolt and you can't get them into the holes or they break. Once I did the reverse it went together much quicker and less pain on the hands.
I am buying my third unit of this product

My assembly experiences have been acceptable. I follow the directions carefully and make sure I orient the components correctly. I use these as printer stands, so they can handle heavy weight.
