Educational Insights Kanoodle Flip, Classroom Pack of 10 - Puzzle Challenges, Brain Teaser Game, Ages 8+

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the middle of quarantine we were looking for new puzzles and activities to keep busy. This arrived in time for my three children and the neighbor's two to give it a try. The initial excitement quickly wore off for all five of them. The instructions weren't included so it took a few minutes to figure out the point of the game. The kids ranged from 7-12 and they grew bored of it within the first 15 minutes. I played around with it myself and found it to be as exciting as the peg game in some restaurants. However I too grew bored as it didn't seem to pose a challenge. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something compact to have in the car on long rides where anything helps.

We are a board game family but there are often times where one person wants to play something different or one wants to play and someone doesn't want to and we have no games for one with the exception of solitaire LOL. This is great because it is a critical thinking game that is small and compact but fun and clever and keeps them engaged. I have a 7, 10, and 16 year old who have all played the game and reacted positively. I would recommend this to my friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks like it could be a fun toy! It isn't great at holding their attention for long. My 8 year old loves problem solving and puzzles. She's played with this a few minutes at a time. It's a well built product that is great for taking to restaurants. Just know it won't hold off the boredom forever.

If you like logic puzzles, you will love this game! My husband and I have played this game to break up the day while we WFH. We, initially, saw the 7+ age on the box and thought.. oh, this will be a cinch! We quickly found out (like puzzle #8 quick) that was not true. I am posting a video of my husband struggling on said puzzle. The puzzle is compact. All the cards and pieces fit nicely inside the game box. It's definitely perfect to travel with as it is compact. There are three different pieces- small, medium, and large- that seem to coincide with the difficulty level. The small is for the earlier and easier cards. The large seems to be for the more challenging end of the game. You can play on your own or with others. It says it is a 1 player game but my husband and I ended up playing together at times. The game spans from easy to really challenging. The hardest ones were really hard and will really make you think. You can come back and play each card again since the object of the game is to find the route with the fewest number of flips. There are obstacles in your path that prevent you from flipping the easiest route so you really have to think about how you are moving the pieces for each challenge. It would be nice if the obstacles were in different spots on different cards to add an additional element of challenge... but, then again.. we are struggling on card #8. All in all, this is a solid game! We love logic puzzles and have really enjoyed trying to figure out the routes for each card! As an educator, I'm thinking this would be a great addition to the classroom for indoor recess, math, or a fun game for the kids to play for brain breaks since it accommodates all children with the various ranges in difficulty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was fun for kids ages 6-16 including myself. We competed against each other to see who could solve the puzzle with less moves ! It helped pass time while being stuck at home. The best thing about this is my younger kids 6 and 7 can Play alone without any help.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kanoodle is quite a blast! Very puzzling and really makes you use your mind. The kids love it and it really helps them focus, while being stuck indoors. The cards are all different, with challenges that make it go from easy to harder as they go from 1 and so on. It's interesting to even try to see if they can break the steps it takes to get to the finish section of the game. This is an excellent learning tool and provides quite a great brain game for my children. I even find it quite interesting to play myself! Kanoodle is so much fun and so worth having to play on the go or just at home. It's portable, all the pieces stay put and it comes in a nice small box design. I would totally recommend and even buy this for other friends of mine who have kids, since I know they would love it as much as mine do!

The little puzzle cards are easy enough for him to figure out, but hard enough to make him think a little bit. I really like the design of it. All of the pieces and the cards fit inside so it's perfect for travel. It snaps shut also so I don't have to worry about it opening up and making a mess.

This makes it especially handy to throw in a tote bag or purse for fun on the go. The pieces flip easily, and it really takes some critical thinking skills to get the pieces into the finish positions. We also own the original Kanoodle, and are so happy to have an additional, equally fun game from this series.

It will be great to throw in a purse when we are going out to eat or for traveling. The puzzles are fun and so get more challenging the more you continue to use them

It would be a great activity to throw in your bag to play while waiting at restaurants, doctors appointments, anywhere. It comes with 100 different puzzles, so lots of fun to be had!

We love Kanoodle Flip! At first, my kids were weary about trying it, but they're like that about anything new. Once they figured out how the game worked, they were hooked! Love how it's portable and easy to pack with us whenever we go out. There are 100 challenges from easy to difficult, and I love that the boys have a variety to choose from. I like that it challenges their minds to strategize, and yet be so fun at the same time. We would highly recommend it to all our friends!

This is the perfect independent-play game for my 7yo son. It's an awesome brain break activity in between doing his school work. It comes in a convenient/portable case, so he likes to take it along for longer car rides. It's difficult enough for him to keep working at it until he gets it right, but not so hard that he wants to give up. He likes trying out the different levels, and even going back to the same challenges to see if he can complete it in the same number of steps again. He's having a blast and working his brain at the same time - such a win-win! This is a great learning puzzle, and would make the perfect add-on gift for any occasion as well! We will definitely be buying this for our friends!

Definitely helps to kill some time during our current shelter in place. Challenging for all ages. Pieces move nicely with good weight. Early levels are a good way to get to know each pieces patterns and later levels start getting difficult to achieve in the correct move count. Great expansion on the original Kanoodle!

I should have bought two! We have played the original Kanoodle and loved the little puzzles that it offers. One of the best features about the Kanoodles is the "travel" part of it. You can take it everywhere and I love the upgrade of how they packaged this version. It comes in a box and super easy to take out and play. The kids figured out how to play it on their own without reading the instructions. They are taking turns figuring out the puzzles and each one gets harder as you move into the different pieces. Honestly, when they go down at night, I take a turn to play a few of the puzzles and it's fun to just figure out the fastest way to get from the start to the finish. There are definitely times that I get stuck as well, but it's a quick easy puzzle to play on your own. The kids don't get frustrated when they don't get the answer right, but I see a lot of "aw man!" when they are one box off or don't get the puzzle piece in the right spot. They just pick up their piece and start over. It helps pass the time during the day while we are home so I am glad I bought it. Hope your kids have fun playing it (and you might enjoy it too!).

This is a great puzzle, logic game for kids! There are easy puzzles but then there are the challenging ones and boy are they mind-boggling!! My mistake was just buying 1 game for my 2 kids. Great way to get the mind going, and I'll admit that I snuck a couple turns trying to solve the puzzles too!
