[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son really likes this word game. He's almost 9 and is already above average in spelling and reading. He really liked the challenge and it's kind of like scrabble but you can do it alone instead of with more than one player.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Slidewise is a great fun and educational game. Not only does my 8 year old love it but so does my 12 year old. Even my husband and I enjoy it. It's also portable and doesn't take up space. Seems durable as well. I would definitely recommend this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Slidewise game for free for an honest review. We have had this game for two weeks now and it has already received a lot of use in our home. The game comes with a laminated card of five letter words that you need to create using the 23 sliding letters. This is a creative game needing both skill in problem solving, "How do I get that letter unburied and to the correct side of the word?". As well as learning proper spelling and expanding young vocabularies with the discovering of words new to them. My nine year old has asked multiple times for the definition of words he is unfamiliar with while playing. As an adult I've enjoyed trying my skill at this game. It takes some thinking but is not frustrating to create the words on the included list, typically it took me a couple minutes to create each word. For my nine and ten year old kids it is a bit more of a challenge but a pleasant one. They like to show off their skill in how quickly they can create each new word. The letters slide smoothly and the whole game is a nice size, would be great for travel. It is not so large that it is awkward, but not so small that it could be difficult to manipulate the letters. The only improvement would be if the word card was entirely plastic instead of laminated paper. The edges of our card of words is already showing some wear after two weeks of use, minor bends in the card stock corners. Overall great game, especially if you have a child who loves puzzles and word games.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product can both learn and play, my daughter really likes it and can spend hours learning about it, she uses the iPad much less, I will research some more types of toys that can both learn and develop the brain like that for my children. It is also a meaningful gift for students and adults.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 6 year old son and 10 year old son. I find this Slidewise on the couch or near their beds randomly. They love to try and find these words when they're taking a break from technology. Additionally, myself and my husband find ourselves picking this up when we want a brain challenge. I love opportunities to have educational learning away from technology so this is a great learning toy that we will keep for years to come.

Not only did my 8 year old and 10 year old enjoy this toy but my husband in his 30s even didn't want to put it down. I thought it was a good learning tool that could keep them busy anywhere. It helped work their mind and their hands. It comes with a card to smell out words but you can also make up your own. We used this tool as a way to practice spelling words. I feel this would be a great addition into even a teachers classroom. Can't say enough good things about this. Even the design on holding this item is great and the lightweight.

I consider this a unique twist on a classic type of game (Scrabble, Upwords, etc.) but without all the mess and fuss. It's sturdy, convenient, entertaining and travel friendly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son who was diagnosed with ADHD loved this puzzle. He is not a confident speller and has trouble focusing and staying on tasks. However, this little gem had him entertained for hours. He loves puzzles and this kept him engaged to where he actually wanted to spell words and try his best to get the spelling correct. This puzzle is so fun and engaging and is challenging enough to keep him going. We love our slidewise. Thank you so much. This had been a huge help in helping him improve his spelling.

Fun brain teaser game! Both my 8 and 10 year old couldn't put this down. You pick a 5 letter word and then slide the tiles across the board to spell it out. My kids are working on so many skills playing this game like problem solving and critical thinking. It's awesome! I have been looking for some different games to take with us on our next family trip and this one is perfect to take on the road and on the plane. It is pretty challenging and I couldn't stop playing once I started to play this game too! Fun for all ages!
