I can't explain why these work for anxiety but I can tell you that they do! Bought for my daughter for her birthday. She has severe anxiety and schoolaphobia; oftentimes vomits before heading to her college classes for the day. I have purchased her weighted blankets and weighted plushies before, which do work, but when I saw this, I thought it might be even better than what she's already using. She absolutely loves it! Loves that it has a hood, loves how it covers her from shoulders to scrunched up knees and the sleeves are long enough to keep her hands warm, too. I picked the greenish blue one since that's always been her favorite color. Plus, I keep my house pretty cold in the winter and this keeps her toasty warm with no lack of heat complaints. Can't say enough good things about it and how she loves balling up in it and getting some homework done in the corner of her bed. Worth every penny! I call that a success and a win!
