Emma and Oliver Avila Wooden Platform Bed with Wooden Support Slats; No Box Spring or Foundation Required

This bed frame is unfortunately not very sturdy. Had it for about 1 year and already hearing cracks. The wooden slats also did not align together but we had to make do with it anyway. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for bed frames from this company.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bed frame was very simple to put together and only took roughly 30 minutes total. My husband had to drill two additional holes to make sure the wood slab inserts lined up properly which wasn't an issue at all. It is a very sturdy bed and would buy other products made by this brand in the future. The only downfall to this product is that it doesn't come in additional colors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very solid bed frame. The wood is actually very good and I feel it will hold up. Now I don't know if I got a defective set but it was such a pain putting it up. I only got 15 bolts to put the legs in when I w was s supposed to get 16. I had to go to two hardware stores to get a bolt something like it. Thankfully I made it work, then one of the middle blocks that hold up the center of the bed had half of the screw hole covered. I just had to do without it and the directions for part lf it just didn't line up with my bed and holes were placed in areas it didn't line up with the bed. Thankfully I was able to make due and it is still very solid. I jus6lt hope your experience isn't like mine.

I was very impressed by how heavy and solid each piece felt when bringing out of the box. It comes with all items needed to assemble correctly. We had it up and usable within an hour. I must say, it looks very nice in our guest room! We purchased a hybrid foam mattress for it (no box spring needed) and viola, a really nice, comfortable be for anyone. I really like the simplicity and elegance this frame offers. I highly recommend it.

No more sleeping at an angle for this tall person! The bedroom now looks up to date and airy. It replaced a cheap old farm house dark brown metal rail bed. The lighter color also makes the room look a lot larger.

It allows each access in/out of bed which is great for my elderly parent. This bed offers two wood finishes, in which both are beautiful.

While there is a lot to love about it, please be aware that the setup instructions and assembly are a huge headache. Allow yourself some extra time and patience. Everything comes neatly and well packaged. All of the necessary parts, tools, and instructions are included. I highly recommend unboxing all of the pieces and laying them out on the floor before you begin. Also make sure you have a large enough room to work in with plenty of floor space. Be advised that the included instructions are not helpful. The wording isn’t very clear and the associated pictures weren’t detailed. I had to undo certain steps and reassemble the unit several times. What should have taken about 30-45 minutes took two of us an hour and a half to finish assembling it. For a quality platform bed, the instructions are not up to par. I also recommend a second person help you assemble it. Some of the pieces are quite large and heavy. You’ll need to balance them while also trying to screw then in. It’ll take some muscle, balance, teamwork, and plenty of patience to assemble it. Once assembled, however, the platform bed is very sturdy. The pieces fit sung together and doesn’t wobble. The walnut finish adds a classy touch to any bedroom. Another aspect that I love is how there is plenty of room under the frame in order to store items. Overall, this platform bed is well made and looks great. I wish the instructions were improved to make them more clear and helpful. Aside from the headaches during the assembly, I’m very happy with this quality platform bed.

We have been using it over a month now and I have 0 complaints. It is high enough to store stuff underneath but yet low enough for our dogs to still jump up on to the bed.

You don't need a box spring mattress under it either, just the mattress. It makes it look more sleek that way too

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bedframe came just in time for my 3 year old to make the transition from a toddler bed to a regular bed. And this bed is absolutely perfect! It is low enough to the floor for her to be able to crawl into it and also not too far off the ground in case she accidentally falls out of bed during the night. Putting this frame together was pretty simple. I did get hung up on some directions but once I figured those out, it was smooth sailing. The frame is very sturdy and absolutely gorgeous. 10/10 would reccomend especially for little ones getting their first "big bed"

The bed frame was nice but it wasn’t safe for our kids. The 4 corners of the frame were sticking out of the full size bed. There was nothing to hold the bed when he jumps on it. We were afraid the bed would tip over. We had to return it. Our full size bed didn’t fit the frame

This bed frame is solid, sturdy and very nice looking. We did have to drill a few holes and make some adjustments in order to assemble it correctly. A few of the pre drilled wholes were improperly placed. Not a big deal, but it was not able to be assembled as it came out of the box.
