A: Mine came with a carbon filter. I assume it can be replaced since it is removeable. You would just have to know the dimensions of the filter, which I don't, sorry.

Q: My 2 cats urinate standing up so it goes high up the back & sides. My question is does this litterbox leak urine? it seems most with a attached lid leak where the top & bottom seams connect. Thanks

it did not take long to teach my kittens to use this enclosed litter box. we had a big issue with litter getting everywhere and this was a hugeeee improvement. we use this along with the sifting litter mat. we haven’t noticed any odor issues & it’s easy to wipe down/clean out. i would highly recommend if your cat gets litter everywhere/plays in their litter box as this will prevent that.

I have a few of these litter boxes for my two cats. They’re easy to clean and the litter doesn’t get stuck to the sides like some other boxes. I also like that the flap can be left open - my cats won’t use the box if the flap is down. An added bonus is that one of my cats is a high sprayer and this box contains it all and nothing seeps through the cracks.

Used this for almost 2 years before our cat escaped while moving. We kept the door off while she was a kitten for a few weeks so she could fully be comfortable with it as at first the swinging door was too much for her. After that the door was back on and worked amazingly! Not sure about the smell part as we fed science diet so her poop never really had a smell because it’s premium food so def would recommend if you have a smell problem to up your food quality. It also makes them poop less so we only had to scoop every few days.

The box itself is fine. It’s roomy enough for my cat. However I bought this, liners, and a litter genie and not one thing of it has helped with the smell. I also don’t think the filter is large enough for the box and I’m unsure where to get extras. I put a puppy pad on the bottom of the box and put TWO litter liner bags inside. The cat claws the bags unfortunately as he digs. So that keeps the box itself clean, and makes it a lot easier to clean, but it makes it very hard to scoop the litter. It also makes it very expensive. I am happy that the door on this box has stayed on unlike another brand I had previously. I recommend the box overall, I just wish it would contain the smell more. That’s the reason for one less star.

This cat litter box is actually XL size and big kitty approved! My cat has never had an issue with entering or exiting the box. I suggest storing nothing on top as it could obstruct the abitity to enter or exit. This style keeps litter in and mostly around the box (my cat doesn't have the best bathroom manners). Removing the lid daily to scoop and even entire litter changes are very easy to do - cleaning is a breeze. Highly recommend, even for smaller cats!

This box has served my boys well for the last year and a half or so. Unfortunately, my larger guy couldn't fit inside without the flap removed, but it pops off easily so no issue there! It might seem like overkill, but I actually use this to house their metal litter pans (they don't hold onto smell like plastic), so I line this plastic box with the XL litter box liners, a puppy pad, and then place their metal pan in on top of that filled with their litter. The enclosed box keeps everything contained nicely and catches any messes from the one with bad aim.
