Q: The description refers to this as a "soft" light. I have no idea what that means. Is that a light that would match the color of an incandescent white light (a warm color) OR is it more the bluish-white-white color of a common LED bulb?

Q: Do they have a switch to turn off the sensor feature or do they only work as always on in the dark or off in the light?Similar lights have an on-auto-off switch which allows it to be used anytime with the sensor feature working only on auto.Do these?

I have several plugged in throughout my home. They work perfectly for my needs. They provide enough light to make walking thru the house with other lights turned off not scary..I feel safe. They also work well for my cats who like dim lighting at night instead of no light. And they seem to last forever.

I purchased these because my 11 year old son was struggling with fear issues. I bought them and had him install them in the hallway where is was afraid. It has made such a difference! It puts off enough light for him to see and feel safe but not so much that it impairs sleep. I would buy again.

This was one of my best purchases as a new parent. One in the hall lets me get to baby safely at o'dark thirty, and the other provides enough light to feed him without being bright enough to make him wakeful. I bought these for our very dark hallway to which I walk into and would prefer not to turn on our canned recessed lights so that I do not disturb anyone. These lights are fantastic for our hallway!! You can swivel the lights and the sensor is very sensitive as well as effective! We only needed one pack due to the amount of light they offered! Plus, I purchased these, along with others, more than a year ago and they work just as well since day one!!
