I personally preferred a stretchy wrap, but my husband loved this carrier and uses this multiple times every day as our baby only contact naps. We started using when she hit 8lbs (at 1 month) and had no problems with fit, but she already had some head control by then. One note - I’m petite but not especially skinny (5’1” and 120-130lbs) and I had to tighten the straps all the way. She also still tends to slip down with wear (see photo) vs staying as high as she should ideally as I can’t get it tight enough. That being said it’s still comfortable, just more suited for my taller husband.

I bought this carrier since it was able to be used for newborns, love the soft and breathable material. Just wish it had more neck support for baby, I found that even though I adjusted the straps my baby's neck would just hang and he wasn't super close to my chest as I expected but overall great carrier.

I love this carrier! I never used a carrier with my first 2 babies I always felt claustrophobic and hated how difficult and bulky the other types of carriers were to put on. But this is quick easy and lightweight and with this being my 3rd child I use it often! 10/10 recommend!

We love our new Ergobaby Embrace. After using a wrap with my first, I wanted something easier with second baby. This is super simple to put on and baby loves it. I can be hands free to help my toddler and get things done.

All the things I love about this carrier

I absolutely love this carrier. I was skeptical at first because I exclusively used soft, fabric wrap carriers with my guest child and hated the more structured carriers, but this is a perfect blend of the best parts of soft fabric carriers and also the more structured carriers. It’s super easy to put on and take off and my newborn loves being in it, she stops crying and falls asleep everytime. It’s a lot easier to put the baby in than a soft fabric carrier and takes just two seconds. Also, this carrier keeps the baby cool with the mesh now that it’s getting hot out and doesn’t allow the baby to overheat. This carrier also folds up small so I can throw it in the diaper bag when we go somewhere. I like that the baby feels secure and the straps are super easy to tighten and loosen. I love it! I received this as part of the stellar product testing panel.

I want to thank Stellar Reviews for providing this carrier. I’d like to start by highlighting the positives. Pros: -it’s lightweight - it has soft fabric - it seems straightforward when it comes to using it for the baby. Cons: it’s not plus friendly for the wider waist or busty people. I think if you have a large belly you may need an extender. - I don’t feel very secure with my baby sitting in this But if you’re looking for something that will give you the convenience on the go - this is it. It just didn’t make me comfortable.

Great Newborn Carrier for both mom and dad!

We had our newborn baby last week and she loves to be held close. The Ergobaby newborn carrier is great for carrying around your newborn while being able to be mobile. We have purchased other carriers to use when she is older but we are not able to use them until she is larger. I was worried about using a carrier so early but felt like our baby was very supported. I liked that it was a midway point between an all fabric wrap and a more supportive carrier. Great for mothers who recently had a baby and want to still have a partially structured carrier. The directions were easy to follow and only took a few second to set up. The straps were comfortable, yet still supportive. We had to play around with the straps to make sure they were in the proper position, this style of shoulder wrap may take a moment to get used to. Our baby remained cool because the knit fabric is thin and breathable. The carrier is machine washable which is a huge bonus for new parents! Both mom and dad are able to use this product because the the adjustable straps, good for a variety of sizes. Many of the fabric wraps are very feminine looking so it is nice that this wrap is gender neutral. The clips are very durable and easy to trust to support your baby. One of the downfalls with this carrier is we received it to use for our newborn but she is on the larger size, we will not one able to use it as long as those who have a smaller baby. We will have to upgrade to a larger carrier for her height, making it slightly harder to justify the price of a carrier that can only be used for a newborn. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for send us the Ergobaby Newborn carrier for our baby! We are so excited to continue to carry around our baby safely and comfortably.

I am in the middle of moving, so being able to be a bit mobile with the baby has been important these last several weeks. I’ve tried a total of 4 different carriers and was lucky enough to receive this one as part of the Stellar Product Testing group! I was able to easily open and unpack the carrier from the box after watching the how to video on using the carrier. Compared to the other carriers, I immediately noticed that the fabric was very soft and light, which was exactly what I was looking for since one my of other carriers felt nearly as heavy as the baby and a bit bulky and rough on her skin. Overall, the carrier was extremely easy to put on with the straps being comfortable to tighten and adjust prior and after placing the baby in it. It was very helpful having the straps crisscross instead of having to buckle the strap behind your shoulders. I don’t know about you, but it’s never been easy for me to contort my arms and hold a squirming baby to buckle straps behind me! The one issue I did have was with the newborn setting. To set this up, you need to adjust the carrier by folding in the bottom in twice so that you are able to shorten the length of the carrier and the baby isn’t swimming in the pouch. My baby is currently 8lbs and doesn’t have an unusually long torso but unfortunately the newborn adjusted setting sits the baby up too high to the point where her head is completely unsupported. The newborn setting doesn’t work for us now but I do love that it’s lightweight, soft and has such great breathable mesh fabric. I’m definitely looking forward to using it once the baby is out of her newborn stage

    Comfy & Easy Carrier

The Ergobaby Embrace Newborn Carrier makes for a very comfy wear, and in the humid south I appreciate the breathable, mesh fabric. This will be great for the summer. The fabric and structure of the carrier also created a cozy and snug feel for my little one. However, her height right now (24”) is right on the border for the newborn/baby mode carry position options. Therefore, she is just slightly too big for the newborn option and just slightly too small to see well over the carrier in the baby mode facing in carry position. She is more aware now, so I think she will like the carrier much more once she is able to hold her head up and face forward in the carrier. I wish I had this when she was just born so that she could have gotten used to it from the very beginning. Putting on the carrier was simple and easy as the shoulder straps are long enough to easily grab, pull across the back, and then adjust. The spreadable cross straps and supportive waist belt feel safe and secure when carrying baby. Some of my favorite features are how this carrier has the best of both worlds in that it has the support of a structured carrier, but the light weight feel of a wrap carrier. I also appreciate that while the carrier is labeled and targeted as a newborn carrier, it can be used on infants up to 25 lbs. (typically 12-18 months). I also like how the instructions are sewn into the carrier. New momma brain must be reminded sometimes. The only con I can think of is that as an avid hiker, this may not bode well for longer hikes, and I may need a more structured carrier, especially as my little one continues to grow. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this carrier.

    My new Favourite Baby Carrier

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I had the opportunity to try this new baby carrier. I just gave birth to our third baby and was using a wrap carrier for the new born. I switched to the Embrace Carrier and fell in love. The shape (x across the back, tight wrap around the waist) were similar but buckling in and out was so much easier! The straps are soft and can be stretched and the main part of the carrier is incredibly breathable. Usually my babies get super sweaty when I wear them but this one kept everyone cozy without overheating. I have always loved baby wearing and this carrier allows me to do it with such ease. Other selling points included the carriers ability to be used with larger babies. Newborns grow So fast, it’s annoying to have to buy an insert that gets used for only a few weeks. This carrier could be used in different ways to fit my baby and me as we grow. I even recommended this carrier to a friend who was looking for a new carrier. I would for sure buy this again for myself or as a gift for a new parent. Too bad I didn’t have this when I first started my parenting journey!

I received the product through the Stellar Testing Panel. Overall, this is a fantastic carrier for parents with spring/summer babies who are looking for a carrier with material that will allow your baby’s skin to breath while being strapped to you. The real game changer here is the shoulder support. The straps are wide and cross in the back rather than being put on a backpack and provide two clipping points. This will most definitely come in handy as the baby gains weight, especially if you already have a sensitive back now. If you’re also looking for something compact that you can toss in a backpack or under the stroller, this is it. The only thing I wish it had is additional neck support for my baby. Overall, highly recommend!

Best carrier so far for 4+ months

I received the product through the Stellar product testing panel. Pros - the fabric of this carrier means it is SO easy to store. It fit easily in my diaper bag because it folds up MUCH smaller due to the mesh fabric. The fabric was light weight on hot summer days it was breathable and comfortable for me. - shoulder straps: the mesh fabric specifically on the shoulders made it very easy to adjust and widen the shoulders for more comfort for me. I could easily adjust this throughout as needed - location of back clip: the location of the clips to attach the shoulder straps were In a fantastic location. This location was easy to reach with one hand (other hand holding the baby) which made it easy to do by myself. (Instead of a clip behind the neck or behind back which is impossible to reach). This was +++++ - I found the carrier very supportive for the baby so she wasn’t sliding down in it. In other carriers my baby slides down and then ends up chewing the front part of the carrier but this did NOT happen in this carrier which is fantastic bevause no one wants a slobbered on carrier… Cons: - I did not find the instructions easy to use and understand. I did not like the way it opened it makes it hard to store and reference and I didn’t like the limited words. I would prefer a book style instructions with clear indications of what is for what. I didn’t like the ‘2arrow’ that was not clear at all and I found it very confusing - I did not try this with a newborn but I am concerned about the position it showed for a newborn as a newborns legs should not be OUT of the carrier but inside froggy style usually with an insert - I found the belt strap buckle very hard to close and push together.

Wow! Ergobaby has really captured all my needs in a carrier. I used one with my daughter who is now 4 years old and this new version has me in awe. The carrier is lightweight and breathable, if you live in a warm climate or if you run warm in general, which my hormones and body heat were all over the place in the first year of my son and daughters birth, then this carrier will not create increased temperature, due to the lightweight and breathable materials used. I like that the straps were very sturdy, as my son is currently 10 months and around 20 lbs. so he’s getting closer to the end of his baby wearing days. But he loves being front and center, so having a carrier that I feel is sturdy, especially in the straps and along the front chest for the baby is ideal. The size of it is very compact, I can throw it in the diaper bag, and it’ll be ideal for us when we travel on an airplane soon. Overall, I really love the attention to detail of this carrier and the upgrades they’ve made of how lightweight and breathable it is. Love this brand I received the product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel!

I began using this when my baby was 2 weeks old and he was 7.5 pounds. The material is wonderful for both indoor and outdoor use as it is breathable and allows me to feel comfortable and not sweaty with baby! This carrier was SO easy to put on. I figured it out right away and it was very easy to do without any help. My favorite thing about this carrier was how well it fit my small baby and how easy it was to put on. Another bonus was that it was lightweight to pack for outings. I recieved this product from stellar parent product panel in return for my honest review.

Compared to other baby carriers I’ve used this one is so much better! Others were stiff and looked and felt like it would be uncomfortable for baby. My daughter was actually happy in this one and it has a foam padding under her neck and it’s so soft!! She likes facing outward, the only downfall is she’s right on the edge of being too short as it hits under her chin which looks uncomfortable but she doesn’t seem to mind it since it’s soft. I love that it has an option for wider straps which can go wider out on my shoulders. Personally it takes the weight out and doesn’t make her feel as heavy. It’s also mesh!! Love this. Wore her for Easter and I didn’t sweat having her on me. So thankful Stellar Panel sent me this to test out. I would highly recommend it.

I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel! I LOVE this carrier! As a second time mom who has tried 4 different carriers before this one, I can wholeheartedly say this one is my favorite. It gives you the best of a structured carrier while being as soft and snuggly as a fabric baby wrap carrier. It was far more more comfortable than my structured carrier, and felt much more safe and secure than my wrap carrier. The breathable, mesh fabric and the ease of putting on the carrier are my favorite features. My little one is currently 3 months old and naps so well in this carrier which is so important as a busy work from home mom. Lastly, I love how small it folds up. None of the other carriers fit as well in my diaper bag. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is unsure what kind of carrier to purchase. (Ergobaby's tutorial videos are also super helpful!!)

I received the Embrace Soft Air Mesh Newborn Carrier as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel just in time for the weather to warm up so we can take the baby exploring outside! We have used this carrier on a walks around the neighborhood, indoors while vacuuming and prepping for dinner, and when taking baby to his big brother’s Soccer games. The instructions were very easy to follow. Putting the carrier on and placing him in it is easy to do without assistance! Although having my husband around to make sure I didn’t twist the back up has been nice, too. I’ve tried a few different types of carriers and this is the just-right carrier, fit for Goldilocks! It’s lightweight and breathable but structured enough to provide plenty of support for both baby and my back! I absolutely love that I can use it both facing inward when he’s sleepy and needs a nap, or facing outwards so he can see the world! The fabric feels like a sports jersey and has been awesome because the baby runs warm when up against our chests. The elastic pieces on the adjustable straps are so neat, they help roll up the extra webbing so I don’t have a bunch of straps hanging off me. I can’t wait to use this more over the summer as we go on hikes and trips to the zoo!

    Perfect for newborns

My wife and I love the Embrace. We used an Ergo 360 with our older kids, but this is a really great carrier for a newborn — I wish we had it for our other kids since it’s particularly cozy when they’re very small. We’ve used the carrier walking in the neighborhood and around the city, hiking, and to get things done in the house. I am 6’1 and my wife is 5’6, and we both find the carrier very comfortable. Pros: - Comfort - The spreadable shoulder straps and supportive waistband make it structured enough to provide fantastic back support, but also soft and easy to roll up like a wrap. Baby feels secure and close, and we love that there’s no extra insert needed even for a newborn. The fabric is breathable and cool for both of us. We’ll continue to put it to the test during the summer months, but it’s great so far. - Versatile - We are primarily using the carrier to face baby inward (perfect way for him to nap, but my wife also breastfeeds while wearing him). It’ll be nice to face baby out as well so he can see the world, or on my back for longer periods. When baby is tired or overstimulated, I can put him in the carrier and he’s immediately happy and settles down. - My favorite feature - I like that it has good neck support, so I know baby is snug and tucked in and my hands can be free to get things done or help the other kids. Cons: - It can be a little tricky to put on the first few times, but I did like that there are several instructional videos to show how to put a baby on. Once you get past the learning curve, it's quite easy. - The weight limit is 25 lbs, which means we still need a second carrier as baby gets bigger or for the older kiddos. I received this baby carrier from the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest feedback. We love this carrier and will continue using it.
