Book Synopsis
The greatest stories of one of science fiction's greatest heroines - re-released in an easily accessible format, perfect for new readers. PSI Judge Cassandra Anderson's belief in the origins of civilisation is put to the test when she is brought to investigate an ancient relic on Mars, believed to be half a million years old. But as her crew members start dying, she finds herself confronting a threat that feels all-too familiar... This volume collects some of Alan Grant's (Judge Dredd, Batman) defining storylines, including his previously uncollected Judge Death stories.About the Author
Alan Grant With over 300 2000 AD stories to his name - not to mention over 250 Daily Star Judge Dredd strips - Alan Grant's prolific creative record speaks for itself. Outside the Galaxy's Greatest Comic, Grant is well-known to Batman fans following a lengthy run on various incarnations of the title. More recently he has adapted Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novels Kidnapped and Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde in Graphic Novel format with artist Cam Kennedy. Kev Walker Kev Walker is the co-creator of Badlands and The Balls Brothers, and has also provided artwork for Dan Dare, Judge Dredd, Future Shocks, Harlem Heroes, Mercy Heights, Rogue Trooper, Time Twisters and Tor Cyan. For the Judge Dredd Megazine, he wrote The Inspectre and has illustrated Judge Anderson, Mean Machine and Wynter. Walker has recently finished an acclaimed run on DC's L.E.G.I.O.N. and has pencilled Marvel Comics' The Eternal. Dave Taylor Dave Taylor began drawing comics professionally for Marvel UK after many failed attempts at being a rock star drummer. He was head hunted by DC to work on a Batman one shot with Grendel writer/artist Matt Wagner, going on to work predominantly on Batman titles such as Batman: Shadow of the Bat (with Alan Grant), Detective Comics, Batman: Black and White and others. His collaboration with graphic designer extraordinaire Chip Kidd on Batman: Death by Design became a New York Times best seller (twice). Taylor's acclaimed adult only series Tongue Lash grew from his friendship with French comic Master Jean Moebius Giraud, who Taylor also worked with on an Arzak story. He has also produced work for TV, movies and the games industry and is presently employed by the United States Space Force as an extraterrestrial translator. Jake Lynch Jake Lynch is a Norfolk based Illustrator, best known for his work on Judge Dredd and Proteus Vex for 2000AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine. He has also worked on other Rebellion publications such as Action and Vigilant as well as Film/TV, and poster design for others. A self-taught artist, he is living proof that they'll let any idiot in here and, as a self-confessed Sci-Fi nerd, he is often the first to be asked to leave. David Roach David Roach joined the art Droids at 2000 AD in late 1986 after studying Fine Art and Philosophy at art college, going on to draw Nemesis the Warlock and Judge Anderson for five years. In the '90s he was one of many artists enticed over to America where he drew Star Wars and Aliens for Dark Horse, Star Trek for Wildstorm, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs for Topps and numerous strips for DC including a lengthy association with Batman which he both drew and inked. Much of the late '90s was spent drawing Dungeons and Dragons illustrations for Wizards of the Coast, but he returned to British comics in 1999 with work for Panini's Doctor Who Magazine where he still draws or inks the comic strip, and is the company's Principal Graphic Novel cover artist. The new millennium also saw a return to 2000 AD where he drew Judge Dredd, Synnamon and in 2016 returned to Judge Anderson in Prog 2000. Away from comics, Roach has created artwork for records, advertising, storyboards and countless commissions. He lives in Cardiff with two daughters and far too many comics.Dimensions (Overall): 10.88 Inches (H) x 8.25 Inches (W)
