I have low porosity type 2c/3a curls or spiral curls. I chose this product because it doesn’t have glycerin, protein or coconut/shea butters but it doesn’t provide enough moisture even after adding water.

I love this product, but fair warning, a little goes a long way with 2B/C waves. I use this as the last step of my air-drying routine before I scrunch and it leaves my hair so shiny and really controls the frizz. I divide my hair into three sections (bottom, middle and top) and put a tiny pea-size amount in each section and really rub it in. Just a little too much can weigh my hair down until my next shower so I'm really careful to put the right amount in.

The curl defining cream brings out my natural curl. My hair is soft, almost frizz free. I had to experiment to get the right amount. A little bit goes a long way.

i was really excited to try this product out and was stoked to find a curl cream with natural ingredients but this stuff has truly damaged my hair. i’ve used it about 3 times after switching from the shea moistures curl cream and every time i use it after showering my hair immediately feels very dry and looks terrible after air drying. normally i can go about 3 days without washing my hair before my curls start looking a little rough but my hair can’t even last a day without turning into a tangled and dreaded mess. the product doesn’t even hold my curls at all and i’ve noticed my hair has also been so frizzy since using this

I am always in the lookout for a new curls cream to test but I couldn’t even test this one, right from the first pump it smelled rancid and I couldn’t make myself use it. I will be returning it, sad that I couldn’t try it.
