2/22/25 We've been long time favorites of single barrel and years ago when they stopped shipping it to the Chicago suburbs we were heart broken, but today we found some at a few of the stores around here and so we stocked up because it was on allocation, 1 bottle per person, then went home to enjoy it's smooth honey carmel flavor but NO it was not the same, it tastes of alcohol and so dry and bitter at the end, dry on my palate for hours afterwards, just out right terrible, what a let down, if I could return it, I would. Apparently the people in Kentucky wouldn't drink it so they shipped it up here. Evan Williams you should be ashamed!

I was going to use it in an Old Fashioned, but decided to try it with a couple of rocks. Great decision! This bourbon belongs on the top shelf!

Great price for a single barrel. First EW I've had. Mellow Kentucky hug, very smooth oak and honey taste.
Complex, smooth and extremely more-ish! A new favourite!

This whiskey really exemplifies what I look for in a Bourbon - oaky, caramel notes, balanced with a touch of orchard fruits. Fantastic on the rocks or neat...but wouldn't mind mixing it up in something different next time.

I just found a few bottles of this with a 2015 date in Atlantic City. The guy at the liquor store said it was a new release. Is this being reintroduced to the market?

So, a couple of years ago I bought one of these to try. E.W. was my grandad's go to. I bought another that was barreled the same year my oldest son was born with the intention of drinking it with him when he becomes of age. I wanted to look for it for my other two kids (both sons) barreled the years they were born to open and enjoy when they reach legal drinking age... I guess that idea is now ruined. Can you open this up for special limited orders? I need a bottle barreled in 2015 and 2019.

This was my favorite bourbon and couldn't find it in stores a few years ago. I just read online that it will be sold in Kentucky only. That makes me sad.
Where Can I find it. One of the best experiences of bourbon.

Heard a rumor at my local Total Wine that E.W.S.B. may be arriving in November. Any truth to the rumor? It may sound strange, but I mix it 50/50 with Elijah Craig - just the right taste for me.
My favorite!

I can't believe E.W. Single Barrel will no longer be available in Texas...so disappointing. There has to be a way to get this wonderful Bourbon here in the Great State!

Drinking this for decades. I hear it's being discontinued (?). I really really hope not. This is bar none the greatest bourbon for the modest price. It drinks better than most bourbons 3x the cost. It's cotton candy juice for grown ups. please E.W., don't discontinue!!!
I'm going to miss it

I have enjoyed EW Single Barrel almost exusively for the past 18 years. I was a scotch drinker previously until I was introduced to this fine spirit at a VFW Bull and Oyster Roast in 2004. Even with the mania that has taken over Bourbon in the past 5-10 years, this has always been my go to. I just wish I had known about the distiller's intention to stop selling this outside of Kentucky in mid-2022... I would have filled my cabinet! Now I'm left scrounging for a suitable replacement.
