I used to buy a black bean burger by another brand that was discontinued years ago. I tried several vegan burgers since and this one by far is the best. I read other reviews and it made me wonder how they cooked it and what, if anything, did they add. I have only grilled mine. I will say I tried it with a BBQ sauce I like and would not do that again. Another time I added mayo and tomato, that was good. Another time I added a vegan cheese, onions, and a vegan aoli. So my recommendation would be trying with different topping like you would a beef burger. There's plenty of those I would say yuck, if dressed a certain way. It's not beef, you can't compare. Just like you wouldn't compare dairy ice cream to sherbet, or an icee.

My absolute favorite plant based/vegan burger PERIOD! Most are spoiled into what they think a vegan burger should taste like. But the healthy ingredients compared to eat red meat does it for me personally! I buy all stock at my target when I get them and I am glad most don’t like them so there are more for me lol! Or I just order from the website
They are not trying to taste like a regular burger. They taste good and go well with some spices. Better than the ingredients in a lot of other products. The inner packaging could be a little better.

These taste good, similar to Dr. Praeger’s “perfect burger”. Ingredients seem clean, too. Unfortunately, there’s one big caveat - they have an intense hot dog smell, and not in a good way. For that reason, I probably wouldn’t buy them again.

Ever wondered what artificial hot dogs would taste like in burger form? These…right here. Such a gross strong bologna/hot dog flavor. No amount of sauce or seasoning will mask it. Wish I could get my money back these are so bad.

As a female, I really don't like how most 'meat alternatives' are soy especially when ones like Morning Star are bioengineered. So, these were an okay alternative but I'm not a fan of the packaging at all. Two wet patties in a non-resealable bag; I am not a fan of using extra plastic bags and I don't know any reusable plastic container that would be an appropriate size. Overall for the not as flavorful taste and packaging issue, I would not buy again until they fixed these issues. I was really hoping for better.

Great packaging and meaning behind the product. I wholeheartedly support the idea and the brand. Unfortunately the product does lack flavor, and that “heme” type ingredient that makes us crave burgers. Great work on everything but the burger does need a whole new flavor and reworked ingredients. Just doesn’t hit like the impossible or beyond brands do.

My first time trying this brand and I'm remarkably pleased by how good it taste, very moist and flavorful. I usually consume turkey burgers however this is definitely my new favorite. I added spike seasoning on it when cooking it but I really didn't need it.

Got these in place of impossible because for a second there I couldn’t find impossible anywhere! Anywhoo gave these a shot, I like trying new vegan products regardless and gross…gross gross gross. Just not good. Blah

These were straight up awful, I normally pride myself on making goof food with sub par ingredients. I had to drown this in sauce to get it down, it tasted like dirt. My wife is vegan and she couldn't even eat this.

Very dry! I liked the taste but these were so dry that I couldn't finish one. I used vegan mayo & cheese on top. I pan fried in olive oil. I did everything I could but it was like cardboard. I really wanted to like these!

My 7yo and I both loved these burgers. They cooked extremely well on a grill skillet (not as sticky as others I’ve tried, beyond etc), and my daughter in particular, a lifelong vegetarian, doesn’t enjoy meat alternatives that taste like meat. This did the trick for both of us. Flavorful, cooked well, a meatier texture than most veggie burgers but still not that dry meat taste. We both agreed we want to buy these again! This is prob my fave veggie burger I’ve ever had.

it took a while to get a good sear on the burger. It also does not emit a lot of juice so it sticks to the pan easily . It really didn't have any seasoning even though I added my own. I ate the whole burger it wasn't the best or the worst I don't eat impossible and I am tired of Beyons and the aftertaste. I would eat the burger again.

I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but I don't eat beef or pork so i do enjoy plantbased items from time-to-time and really enjoyed this burger. I did season, but did not add salt or salt-based seasonings cause plant-based food tend to be high in sodium. The sodium content isn't that bad with these so they weren't salty but well seasoned. The look and texture was spot on for a burger. I cannot compare to a beef patty since I haven't eaten beef in over 25yrs. I prepared it in a skillet w/avacado oil. It cooked well, did not shrink or dry out. I stumbled across these while shopping, grabbed cause they were Black-owned and on sale. I'm glad I grabbed cause I really like them. Just wish there were at least 4 in the pack.

The lemon oil and apple cider vinegar definitely come through in the flavor of the burger. I can see how it could be off putting for some but I got used to it. I pan fried them from being frozen and the texture is spot on. Is it my favorite veggie burger? Well, no but it’s also by far not the worst I’ve had in my 18 years of being plant based. I’ll continue to buy because it’s a black- owned business and other companies need to shine other than impossible, beyond meat, garden and Morningstar, etc. I also appreciate it doesn’t taste like meat or look too much like it because if we’re honest, we are all here buying it not to taste like meat.
