Evol Plated Meals Frozen Hot Honey Chicken & Sweet Potatoes - 11oz

The sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts were good, but the chicken was too spicy for me (like nose running, tongue on fire). I can handle spice, but this was really intense and could use some balance.

Perfect spice! I’m not a fan of Brussels sprouts, but the sweet potatoes and chicken were good! Definitely recommend, but if you don’t like spicy, I would pass.

I love Evol meals, but this one totally missed the mark. It was pretty much inedible. The crust on the chicken was mushy and off putting. The chicken itself was okay-ish after scraping off the top. Vegetables were soggy.

I actually loved the brussel sprouts , sweet potatoes and the chicken itself , but the hot honey threw me off . It's too strong and hot flavored it overpowered the chicken . I was happy to find a frozen dinner with quality brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes , and like I said the chicken was very tasty . I has bought two so on the second meal I removed most of the hot mustard to enjoy the meal. A sweeter honey , in my opinion would complement this meal perfectly and have me happily buying it again.

I usually like spicy but this was really interesting for me. The chicken itself is moist, the breading is nice. Honestly, the chicken was perfect. The sweet potato and Brussels sprouts fresh. They weren’t soggy once microwaved/didn’t hold the water. The veggies need a little salt/pepper/seasoning. The star of the meal the sauce: the hot honey sauce threw me way off! I wasn’t expecting it to be so spicy for a frozen meal. Maybe, I’ve had poor examples of Hot Honey sauce prior or this is a bad example. I’m not entirely sure but, the sauce will catch you off guard if you expect it to be mild like most other competitors “spicy” frozen meals. It was worth a try though! It was certainly something different. If the sauce was in a packet (and I could have controlled the portion) I think I would have liked it more. Not a bad choice for someone likes sauce with a kick!

This has to be one of my favorite frozen meals. It's borderline too spicy for me (and I eat lots of hot foods). That said, I love the flavor and the chicken is never rubbery.

I was hesitant to try this one because of mid reviews. I usually get the adobo chicken instead, but they were out so I gave this one a shot and WOW. So good! Enough spicy honey on the potatoes and chicken, and the brussel sprouts taste great, too. Also lower calories than the adobo chicken one, so nice to have the option. Overall 8.5/10, and I’ll definitely buy again.

I like the idea but the breading was so soggy on the chicken... I had to scrape it off and cover the chicken in ketchup to be able to eat it.. The sides were good.

Good meal but spicier than I thought it would be. If you’re expecting it to be like a Mike’s hot honey type of spicy you’re not gonna get it. It’s a proper spicy with a little bit of sweetness. If you like it spicy then this is for you. If you prefer something sweeter then stay away.

I was excited to try these as i buy and regularly enjoy some of the other evol meals but this one yikes! What a disaster, soggy mushy Brussels with next to no flavor aside from S&P and the hot honey chicken is just meh spicy and sweet but awful texture. Just a total fail in my book compared to some of the others. I have the other plates meal flavors in the freezer so let’s so how those are but for now won’t be buying these anymore 😬

The heat in this meal is off the charts. Personally, I like mild or kinda hot. This is a never ending madness of heat. The chicken was tender. Brussels sprouts were super off the chain hot. The sweet potato’s were as hot as the chicken. Didn’t care for them at all. I’ll never buy this again!!!
